No honest officer is afraid of a camera. Only the crooked ones are.

Cops who falsely arrest people should be charged with kidnapping put in prison for 10 years and banned from police and security work for life.

Police are there to protect the civilians but who's there to protect the civilians from the police?

As a police officer I loved when I got my bodycamera. Now all my actions and words are recorded, making any bogus complaint get proven false really fast. Now whenever someone points a camera at me and tells me they’re filming me, I get to point at mine and say “‘me too”

GOOD for that police officer, at the end. He told the person filming his name and badge number. He was probably annoyed, a little, but he at least knew the law.

2:08 "That cop was eventually fired"
I think there needs to be more legal consequences for this.

The problem is improper training and inadequate psychological testing of individuals who are to be given this much power and responsibility over our lives.

As a retired LEO I would just like to go on record saying I absolutely love video cameras! The more the better. Honest cops doing their jobs don't have a single issue with cameras. J never had a single complaint filed against me ever. The only problem I have seen with camera footage is the Monday morning quarterbacking from the general public.

film cops, go to jail then sue them, there is always a greedy lawyer who will take his cut on an easy case.

I'm not against the police and I've never been in trouble. Yet my experience with cops has been terrible they've searched my cars w/o my consent. Made me do dui tests when I've showed no sign of drinking. I passed by the way. Cops need to earn back America's trust. They've abused it.

"High on his power" - that describes some of these people too perfectly.

Loved the cop at the end. I've done something similar in the hospital with patients that try to record everything and everyone. You can tell they are trying to catch anyone in something no matter how small so they can cause a scene or a lawsuit. I smile, give them my full name and proceed to provide the best damn service they ever had until they calm down. It's more fun shutting down the antagonism with competence and politeness than lording authority over them.

I loved that last cop he knew that filming police interactions is a right and actually helps to keep things safe.

I 100% believe in accountability. But there is a difference between accountability and meddling... tough call sometimes.

Anyone who wants to be a police officer; that last officer is a prime example of how Police should behave.

That's absolutely correct! If they are doing the right thing, they don't have to be afraid of being filmed. The PD adopted cameras on them to protect themselves from false accusations, SO REGULAR PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT to use cameras to protect us from being abused unnecessarily.

Yes, I, a retired police officer, agree with the cameras. In fact, I think their use should be extended to teachers, nurses, all other first responders. In fact all who come in contact with the public. At this time, only police have these cameras, and every time they get into an awkward, even dangerous situation, people whip out their cameras and, instead of helping the officer, at least calling for assistance, they want a video to put on the internet.
