Great video! I am a beginner and I just ordered a Squier Classic Vibe 70's Strat. HHS. I didn't learn as a teen. I am ready to learn now.

I have the Squier Classic Vibe 60s telecaster, and I upgraded the pickups. I am 100% confident that no one, absolutely no one would be able to tell the difference between my Squier and a Fender that's twice the price. Plays like a dream, feels amazing and it doesnt sound or look cheap at all. Best guitar I own

I have two Squire Telecasters, one Mexican Fender Tele, one Squire 40th anniversary and one American Fender strat. I love them all. I like all my Squires alot.

Man, I recently bought a squier Strat 40th anniversary. The previous owner made a few changes, he has upgraded the pickups and actually made something I wouldn't do, but I'm honestly loving: he has put a Seymour Duncan single coil/Humbucker on the bridge with a push/pull. Man I've tried different strats, but nothing like this one.

I bought an original Chinese Classic Vibe 50s Strat 14 years ago, and it’s a fantastic guitar. I told myself I would only sell or trade it if I found another Strat I liked better. After playing just about every model in Fender’s entire range, I still have and love the Classic Vibe!

Bought my first chinese Squier CV 50s Strat a couple of years ago. Still in love with it, fantastic guitar. The single ply pickguard is historically correct; no complaints about that. Even the electronic parts seem to be solid and durable which is not the case on two CV Strats I bought later. Be prepared to swap pots and the pu switch; but even with that investment it´s a pretty good deal.

About the pickguard. The thinner one is a 50's spec. Fender started to use more plies later. 50's style Fender would also have a thin pickguard like that!😊

Squier classic vibe series is the point for that a guitar just started to have the quality and sound fender has. Never got disappointed of it, both for home use and everyday gig. Just really wish epiohone did the same since the "inspired by gibson" series while super incredible for the price, has very limited numbers built

I just picked up a Fender Squire Affinity Strat HSS Limited Edition in Icy Metallic Blue today from my local guitar store and got it on sale too for only $250.00 and let me tell you something bro, I am impressed, especially for a guitar that is under $300.00. I have been a Les Paul fanboy my whole life and figured I would give the strat a try since I too was looking for that sound and two of my favorite guitarists aside from Jimmy Page used them(Hendrix and Gilmore). Knowing that strats can be a bit on the bright and light sounding side with three pick ups, I went with the HSS version instead that comes with two pickups and one humbucker so it sounds great with different genres of music, especially rock that is a bit more on the chuggy side. I hate to say it honestly but I may never go back to a Les Paul again. I am looking at getting an actual Fender Strat in Candy Apple Red in about a year or two if I can find one that is good once I get my skills up a bit more. At that point I am getting either a Sig or Player series. Needless to say, I highly recommend these strats to anyone, even if you are a pro. Just do not get anything lower than the Affinity series as the Sonic can be a bit fucky on the fretboard. You simply cannot go wrong with either the Affinity series or Classic Vibes. They are just so fun to play and for the price and what you get, you seriously cannot beat it even if you do not like strats. I even choose the strat over some nice Ibanez just because of how well put together these guitars are and with how well they sound. Honestly impressed. I am going to switch out the stock strings for now with either Turbo Slinky's or Super Slicky's by Ernie Ball. Best strings you can buy. 9/10 only since it doesn't come with Ernie Ball's from factory.

I truly believe that it is not the guitar but the person playing the guitar.

I bought the 50s Classic Vibe Strat a while back to modify. I replaced the bridge with a VegaTrem and the tuners with Gotoh Vintage Staggered set and removed the string tree. The tuning stability is great even with dive bombs and upward movement. The other reason I got it is the Fiesta Red and the fact it weighs only 6.5 pounds. I had a Player Strat a couple of years ago but I didn’t bond with it. Nothing wrong with it but I moved on and sold it. The pickups on the Squire are good so I’ll wait before deciding to swap them and the pots out.

You guys have more choices than this old man. We didn't have no Squier Classic Vibe, Pro Tone, MIM, Strats as alternatives. We had cheap Japanese (back then they were cheap) guitars as alternatives to buying the REAL thing. It was all (the real thing) or nothing! All the best and enjoy that CV Strat!

Have owned very nice Fender Strats and copies, including a early 90s Clapton signature USA model and a late 1970s Japanese Tokai. The Classic Vibe series, especially the early ones built around 2009-2012 are incredible. I have a 2009, 60's Classic Vibe that has a real Rosewood fretboard and Alder body. I did swap out the pickups and other electronics, but it ships with Alnico V pickups that are very nice... The reason they don't get respect is because they are built by foreign factories not owned by Fender. Fender provides the spec sheet. I think Cort in Indonesia is the current builder of the Classic Vibe The ones coming out of Mexico are coming from a Fender owned and operated factory, so it is different, but who's to say Fender in Mexico is building a better guitar than Cort in Indonesia?
