Additional review notes:
Let’s start out with the three reasons we are more confident now than ever that Google is launching the elusive pixel watch.

WearOS 3
Google is encouraging more development from 3rd party app
Google revamped their apps
Google hasn’t rolled it out yet except for Samsung’s version of it - If you were google, you would probably want to roll it out on your device first
Google acquired Fitbit
Fitbit didn’t release a new device
Could that be because they’re working on a pixel watch and it’s delayed? Or because Fitbit is waiting for WearOS 3?
Anti- Fitbit did announce they would be using WearOS in their next devices
We expect Fitbit will remain separate
More leaks than before with higher conviction
Code name Rohan according to Jon prosser
Actual photos

Design
Watch will likely be round
May come in two sizes
We expect to see a rotating crown on one side, possibly a button, but I don’t see that in leaks
Very slim bezel shown with thin watch
Expect a poor battery life
Will it use a Google tensor branded chip or exynos?
Or possibly a snapdragon 4100 or 5100 chip?
Probably lots of Fitbit integration
WearOS 3 with an improved Google assistant

Launch:
As early as this spring. Google launched the Pixel 3a in early May, and it is not unlikely to see a pixel watch launch at the same time this year. This would give them a solid 3-4 months of hype before apple and Samsung launch their next generation watches

While I'm confident the Pixel Watch is on its way soon, I'm not confident with Google hardware.

it's just my thought, but I don't think google will go all out on them first whatch but probably they are going to release a mid tier and then we will see a top tier watch after a year

Part of me wants to be excited for this, part of me tells me to temper my expectations.

As a Pixel 6 user it feels and matches very well, but tbh if it does have better value or unique features compared to my existing Watch 4 Samsung, I would be ready to change ! Hopefully they also bring Assistant and proper youtube music support instead of current remote player like with only capable of shuffle option instead of selecting the track I want

Still can't believe Galaxy watch 4 still hasn't got Google Assistant.

Going by Google's track record like you've said means we should wait for the Pixel Watch A because that's the real banger?! 🤔
I can also see the Pixel Watch being pricey as Google wants to position itself as a premium brand besides Apple & Samsung and the bang for buck Watch A is going to have a reasonable price with not much missing.

I hope they don't overload it with features. Just get the basics right. Reliable heart rate sensing, reliable blood oxygen, accurate sleep tracking, etc. They shouldn't overload their first watch with half baked features.

My mind tells me to wait until the 2nd iteration of the Pixel Watch, but my heart tells me to buy it on Day 1...

I'm sure Google will not get it right first time. The battery life may be an issue for me, although as a current Fitbit user I'll likely swap it out for another tracker at night whilst it's on charge and during runs anyway.

I think by how much Fitbit integration would be the main key for me here. If I have to install some Fitbit watchface simply to track my Fitbit stats, then that would be very disappointing. Automatic integration to Fitbit would be needed.

You forgot about the LIDAR patent leak that it will have skin touch gesture control. No need for buttons.

Unfortunately I think Gen 1 will have basic health sensors, we may have to wait for sep 2023 for gen 2 for more of what galaxy watch 4 & apple watch has?

Do you think that once they reales more watches with wear os 3 it will work with apple products too, bc so far there is no compatibility at all?

Main thing I'm hoping for and expecting is Qi charging, no proprietary crap.

Yeah, unless it's an enormous leap forward in tech I wouldn't be buying it anyway but I am exited for it to come out so I can hopefully get the WearOS 3.0 upgrade on my current TicWatch pro 3 ultra shortly after.

Idk I don't really have faith in Google hardware anymore with the recent pixels, Samsung really the obly thing keeping me on Android despite how much I hate ios

I wish Google would leave all the fitness monitoring to the Fitbit line and concentrate the Pixel on integration with their phones. Navigation, messaging, calendars, etc. I hate paying for a bunch of body monitors I’ll never use.
