These reviews are so much more valuable to me as a normal person looking to buy a device after it's been discounted. I don't care about what the enthusiasts got all up in arms about during the announcements for the device, or what the reddit armchair geniuses think about it. I'm just a normal dude who wants a good device but holds onto them for a long time and a 6-months later review of them is perfect for that. You rock dude!

After a long string of Galaxy Watches, I am thoroughly impressed with my Pixel Watch. The battery life has actually gotten significantly better over time, and my one and only complaints are: 1) A lack of first-party bands from Google, and 2) No larger sized option. Other than that, this has been a phenomenal first-gen device for me. Hopefully Google keeps improving things from here!

I have the Pixel Watch. I agree with bedtime mode integration between the Pixel and the watch. Other than that irritant, I love the watch. It's beautiful and just works. The crown is my favorite part.

Appreciate your honest reviews. Have to say, I've had the Pixel Watch 1 since it came out and I've had no issues with the screen, display or the backplate. I agree about the rest though I'm a little surprised you didn't criticise the battery.

I was told they needed 24-48 hours to review my hardware problem, then 10 days later ignored all of the info i gave them and rejected the request.
10 days.
Terrible customer support.
They're now jumping through hoops trying to undo their disastrous support response, but the damage is already done. I'll never buy another pixel product.

You were spot-on regarding the horrible customer service experience with this watch. I've had two watches now where the back fell off. The second replacement experience took two weeks and they were inconsistent to the point I was convinced they wanted me to switch to Apple. Thanks for including your experience... Guess it wasn't just me. I love the watch aesthetic and hitting airplane mode with sleep mode (which should happen automatically) has made battery life a breeze.

I love the aesthetics of the watch, and I would buy one right now if they made one that is the exact same but bigger, so it can have a bigger screen and battery. I just can't justify having to charge it every day, coming from a watch that charges once every other week

I ❤ my Pixel Watch! My Galaxy Watch would always lag and going from tile to tile wasn't fluid. On the Pixel Watch, wow. Fluid!!!

Thanks for the clear review! I was hoping some of the launch issues would be fixed by now... I'm looking to get a smart watch to go with my Pixel 5a, but I might end up waiting for the 2nd gen! Do you think we can expect the second gen in October like gen 1?

Love the Pixel watch & your video & totally agree with the bedtime mode BUT I have to disagree with one thing, battery. Untill the last 2 updates 9 times out of 10 it lasted all day then charged to full while getting ready in the morning, but since the last 2 updates as the charging speed has DRAMATICALLY slowed down, it not takes over 30 minutes longer to go from 30 % to 100% charged it's now ridiculously slow. I hope Google fixes this.

As a Pixel user I love the watch. Does it need more features? Absolutely. If you're fine with a 1st gen then get it.

I would def want a half centimeter smaller bezel and at least 36hrs of battery. With the lte version, i would be able to rely on my watch if my phone dies, imo. That would push its practicality up for me.
