She is probably talking about the trash they sell in the stores

She specializes in talking about diabetes and I am sure she is talking about how in comparison they both spike your blood sugar the same. Sure orange juice is better for you but when you're talking about diabetes she is correct. Context matters. If you are a diabetic and you want orange juice make sure it has as much pulp as possible so that way you get some Fiber. Also drink it at the end of your meal after you have had fat and protein to slow the spike in your glucose level.

Toddlers learn the names of fruits and vegetables, 🍎🍊🍌but they don’t learn how they can benefit from them personally. School-age children learn what they’re allergic to 🥜🥛(pasteurized), but they’re not told why. At the same time, children also drink soda beverages and GMO foods and they’re told it’s a treat. 🎃 I think whole foods can be like medicine once a person knows how to use them for their type of genetics.

He's talking about fresh pressed oj with pulp in it. Not the pasteurized, filtered, flat soda with orange flavor

Both contain simple sugars that rapidly raise insulin levels. Orange juice, lacking the fiber that slows sugar absorption, results in significant insulin spikes. While not as detrimental as Coke, it should generally be avoided by most Americans with metabolic disorders. Professional athletes, like the host, may be able to handle it better

I hate when people that only have a basic understanding of macronutrients think they are nutrition and health experts. This is a very big problem with fitness influencers especially

There is a study of 300 participants with non alcoholic fatty liver desease. What they all had in common was the drinking of fizzy drinks specifically coca cola Fanta sprite and diet coke. They found diet coke still had to be metabolised by the liver. They also found the people drinking fizzy drinks were less active or had a less active lifestyle.

This, and the study you and carnivore aurelius showed on oxidative stress on the liver, was the number one thing that convinced me that not all carbs are bad all the time, amd fruit is generally safe to eat.

It may be true that natural sugars are about the same amount as added sugars but the metabolism is what differentiates them greatly, natural sugars are slow in the digestion process so your not gonna be craving any sugar for a while added sugars however are digested more quickly and it can cause rapid spikes and crashes in blood glucose because of it being disgested much quicker it leaves the human body craving more sugar that is needed for energy
In short products with added sugars eg, chocolate, soft drinks, candy etc tastes a little more better but they leave us wanting more sugar which creates a build up and when the body is used to a regular consumption of a certain food it starts causing problems like diabetes, hypertension
Im not saying people should stop entirely cause its not as easy as it seems but what people can do is not to take too much of certain types of food eg you can have candy and soft drinks, this also includes certain vegtables about twice a month and then break for say 2 months or a few weeks then consume it again or they can substitute it for healthier options

Fyi... you want fresh squeezed vs. highly processed orange juice. Also, it's better to just eat the orange. Get all the fibers from the skin and pulp. Orange juice is like eating 8 medium size oranges.

What about GLYCATION? I can’t figure out how to eat protein and carbs together or separately.

Paul is trying to be so evolutionary consistent with his diet but then drinks orange juice instead of eating them. Why?

Paul has a good message. But so does the nice glucose lady. No sense tearing her down, especially with a 2 on one without ability to defend. Reminds me of you on the Doctor’s show. Keep doing the good work Paul but be nice.

Yes, orange-juice is better than Coke, but if you're metabolically unhealthy or sedentary, it's not that great for you.
