When people say there is no evidence for God, what is meant is there is no credible evidence for God.
Sure you can call the hearsay from 2 thousand years ago evidence but a lot of people do not see that to be credible enough to meet the standard to be called evidence.

One single atheist claims that there are arguments for god. That does not make it true. You provide me evidence for god and I will happily convert.

That's not evidence for your god though. Those are all arguments taken seperarly that prove just as much that I am god than the bible god is true.

The full video this clip is from is "Analyzing 10 Atheist Slogans w/Alex O'Connor" on Capturing Christianity for anyone wondering.

Alex also had a discussion earlier that year on divine hiddenness but with Lukas Ruegger from Deflate moderated by Justin Brierely.

Ah yes, the classic 'God gives just enough evidence to keep you guessing, but not enough to make it obvious.' Sounds more like a cosmic game of hide-and-seek than an omnipotent being trying to communicate with us!

Atheistic philosopher Ben Watkins also seems to hold to Alex's view calling the idea that there is no evidence dogmatic among his fellow atheist peers.

Braxton from Trinity Radio once made a compilation of clips from pop atheists such as Hemant Mehta, TJump, Aron Ra and Richard Dawkins comparing their claim to Watkins while also featuring agnostic philosopher Joe Schmid.

Evidence for sonthing requires factual and causal links from what is claimed to be evidence to the thing it is claimed to be evidencing. There is no such evidence for any of the thousands of gods humans have claimed. In fact, nothing claimed about any of these gods can be shown to have any demonstrable truth value whatsoever.

For me personally, there are a lot of proof.
The problem is, by the nature of free will, the plan, and how faith works.
What I see as complete evidence is nothing to someone else.

I attest there is no credible evidence that goes toward demonstrating that the Christian god (or any god) exists in reality nor that Jesus was a historical person.

Caring about truth means having *sufficient evidence* to justify a belief. So while yeah it's technically evidence in the strictest sense when Gary shows you a book saying "elves exist", it's not good enough evidence for belief to be reasonable.

Caring about truth means rejecting slf-contradicting ideas. If Gary tells you a married bachelor exists, you know for a fact he's wrong because the idea contradicts itself: to be married means _not_ being a bachelor, and vice-versa.

So Alex will never be Christian because Christianity describes a self-contradicting God. An all-knowing god would know every result of every possible way universes might be. Christianity then admits we live in a universe where evil is present, which means they must believe God intentionally created all evil. That contradicts God being said to be "all-good", so we know God doesn't exist.
