Ha Long Bay is an absolute tourist hub that is wayyyy to overcrowded!! If you're looking to ditch the crowds and have some peace and quiet, I recommend going to the bay closest which is Bai Tu Long Bay. The views are much better given that there is not 200 others boats surrounding you at all times. You will actually be able to hear yourself think. The overall experience is insanely better and your photos will be much more memorable as well because it will be your own photo and not what everyone else has.
