I had a second degree burn before, and it hurt so badly..

Luckily, my hand is fully healed and looks completely normal now.

My teacher told me a story about a woman who had a gas explosion while being in the bathtub (don’t ask me how she did that). She called 911, she didn’t have any pain but the doctors knew she would die soon, so they asked her what messages she has and who they should be sent to. She didn’t know what he meant because like I said she didn’t have any pain.

She died 20 minutes later.

Good information, nice text style and images, and succinctly stated. Please note that 1st degree burns usually only affect the EPIdermis not the dermis as that would be 2nd degree.

Actually read a story about one of the cajon pass wrecks. The only survivor suffered all 6 degrees of burns. Hospitalized for almost 2 years. Survived his ordeal.

I am a 4th degree burn survivor! It’s a long grueling process. I dont know what he is talking about my worst 4th degree over my tailbone hurts everyday of my life. I do understand that most of the nerves are non existent. But you still have muscle tissue damage. My skin tightens up which is extremely painful, the muscle hurt like hell and are constantly in spasms and the surround nerves hurt like a bitch!

People don't usually know about the existence of 4th degree burns, mainly because victims rarely survive it.

About 5 weeks ago (maybe 6) I started a house fire and had a boiling pot of flaming oil combust all over me and it cooked into the skin on my feet. My doctor said they’re 3rd degree (for the most part, with few 2nd degree burns) but according to your video I am under the impression my burns are 2nd degree? They’re extremely graphic get extremely painful

Do first degree burns cause hair loss? I used a laser device on my scalp, and I now have a sizable thinning spot followed by a burning feeling. It feels like a relatively light burn, and shows all the signs of it being in the first degree class, but its been months and a mild pain still persists followed by no regrowth in that area.

Thank you for this. I have a few questions (graphic warning), but i recently read the autopsy report of one of the passengers that was in the plane crash that killed Kobe Bryant, and the woman had "complete charring of the skin along with skin splitting, " and i was wondering what that meant.
