Very nice work. Here in California we do not run into much of this style installation, mainly retro replacement and jumping frames like you stated in the video.
Greetings from American Window Concepts. Keep these coming, they’re very educational.

Costs more money to take the entire frame out. With my stucco which has a raised 2.5 inch thick x 8 inch decorative surround on each window it would cost me a fortune. Thus a pocket replacement or taking out just the mullion and so forth. Nice built home. My Grandparents built a beautiful early 50s home with a lovely genuine glass block front porch and more picture windows than you could imagine. Very good carpenter. Those windows and the slate roof lasted for almost 50 years. Course they got that good aged lumber back then and solid white oak flooring. Such a nice home. Built solid with anchor tiedowns and rebar to because by the grace of God a tornado went within 200 feet of their house when I was a boy and we survived because the house was built that well. The house adjacent across the street and the barn was totally destroyed. My grandfather was already dead then and my grandmother wasn’t in that great of health but she said thank God we were all all right. She said also that Dad always did his best on everything. Ole Germans! I miss them after all these years.

I love doing windows and doors have my whole life, kudos to u guys, but regular diy er should not try to use glass cutter, if they fall right out like you said, a heat gun and a thin 4 in putty knife heat up that's silicone and gently work glass loose. Someone gonna try and use glasscutter and put hand threw the window. That's just my opinion not saying I'm right. Thanks guys

I didn't see flashing installed or the gaps on the sides filled with insulation. Is there a reason you didn't do that? I know Houston gets lots of rain and the humidity is crazy high.

Great videos. I plan on replacing windows in my brick house. What do you call these types of windows that don't have any sort of flange around them?

A torch and a putty works way better and less pick up and gose way faster

I bought that Quad and been doing my EIFS with it and it’s excellent. My windows guy is in his 70s and he is great. He has 2 helpers and he swears by this caulk. But it will take 4 months to get the darn windows in due to this government manufactured crisis.

Good afternoon, .curious on what kind of screws were used, .and if you recomend to shim sides where screws are placed to prevent the srew to bind the window

Is the foam the only thing you added to seal the top area where light was coming in? Is that all that's needed?

Why didn't you cut the center brace, then as the bottom started to bend up cut it as well, then the side rail, would have folded in a whole lot faster & easier...

Are you not using the metal header flashing, sealing tape and sealant on the inside method here? It's not really easy to see and you didn't mention it. Or maybe it is not necessary with the amount of overhead protection at that location? Or maybe this was before you started using that technique?

Not at all what I was expecting. I had no clue you cut the glass out. But I guess that makes sense, since they are puttied in. I thought The Whole thing was taken out at once
