Self-blame kills progress! You knew you weren't going to do it perfectly when you came here, remember? Don't compare yourself to others or to some ideal of perfection. You are doing great! Keep going!

the familiarity with maladaptive psychological habits is not commonly discussed nor obvious to recognize. David, you have made my life tremendously better. I am healing faster as a result of your teachings.

Myself and my fiance are listening to your videos on an almost daily basis and they're a great tool in our recovery arsenal. Thank you both for your time and effort in not only delivering this content to us searching for remedy, but doing so in a concise, easily digestible manner that doesn't ever feel like a sales pitch for your services.

A very genuine and heartfelt thank you to you both ❤️

Good morning, and thank you for another penetrating teaching. I listen to a teaching every day. It is interesting (and helpful) how: 1. I will hear the same thing over and over and then suddenly HEAR it differently (deeper, better), and, 2. How new ways of saying the same thing will suddenly pop up.

Today David used the colourful term "emotional slavery" which I have never heard used before. It resonates for me.

Thank you so much for this. This is crucial teaching. I always believed that I WAS the mistake!! That became my identity. Imagine my joy when I realised that this was a lie! What freedom, what relief! Thank you again, David and Alex, for doing these teachings 🙏🕯❤

True!
To see the arbitrariness of self blame, just wait till parents die. The sibling who helped them in later years, did cleanups & laundry & loved them, feels way guiltier & self blaming than those who stayed away. I am resorting to the teachings of Grandmother Florademayo, Lao Tzu, Jesus, Paul, Socrates & a woman named Frances Key, whose mom told her (AFTER she died) that from heaven's view, nobody is a separate ego. We're all (in molecule land and the unseen realm) helping something bigger. We're "a team." Lao Tzu is on yours!) 🍃
Our ego culture puts a harsh strain on humans. There is no way you can get it all right, yourself, without cooperation & help. Even the waters, wildlife, trees, fungi, insects & sea plankton keep us alive. When we harm & destroy them, in our unseeing, worried, self preoccupied ego trance, they don't blame us, nor themselves.

I feel more shame for positive things. I've made so many mistakes, I'm used to it but things like promotions, winning a one on one game or recognition for something I feel shameful, guilt.

I got into the habit of blaming myself when I saw that I was the common denominator in all my situations. It was the only explanation my younger self could conclude with the knowledge I had at that time. I was in my teens when my issues started, so I made the vow in my mid20s. It has molded me into a 46 year old loner who doesn't trust others and self-sabotages subconsciously.

I found being someone that blames myself for everything I attract people who are also willing to lay all the blame on me 🤷🏻‍♀️ kinda screwed

Wow, I have done this my whole life, blamed myself for everything and just beat myself silly. And the rules ONLY apply to me. Thank you for making me realize this and helping me on the road to healing. So Grateful for both of YOU
