How Gen Alpha Will Change Society Forever

Gen Alpha is the first generation of humans to be born with access to mobile technology. By the age of 2, many gen alpha toddlers can already interact with these devices in meaningful ways beyond watching Cocomelon on Youtube. They can navigate the app menu, and even play some simple games.

How will this level of access and proficiency with technology shape Gen Alpha? And how will Gen Alpha, in turn, change the world?

This video is our times in a nutshell. A YouTuber talking about distopia while advertising an AI tool. EDIT: from 6:05 to 7:20 dude literally says that using AI to do common tasks might hinder the development of teenagers. We're so doomed. LOL

Just seeing the parents completely neglect their child by giving them iPads and iPhones at a very young age makes me feel so sad and disappointed.

The AI sponsorship feels so dystopian...

Honestly being Gen Z has its disadvantages and issues but I’m glad I was at least able to experience some of the world before the balance of humanity and technology was lost. The 2000s had a perfect level of technology that wasn’t ruling our lives and also didn’t have widespread social media, but sadly it’s not coming back unless there’s some societal wide rejection of so much technology

the gap between generations will get bigger and bigger. as a millenial i look at gen z like a boomer and we are pretty open about a whole lot of stuff.

Gen alpha is the bridge between humanity evolving or its destruction, there’s no in between

I think it's kind of annoying at this point that I've seen this conversation play out generation after generation. I feel like it's almost as if a generation gets to a certain age, relinquishes all responsibility, and stares at their children or grandchildren. I'm tired of it. Generations don't even really exist, it's a spectrum, and the more we continue to divide them up as if they are a separate type of people from us, the worse off we are. We need to stop this.

As a '90s kid who loved tech, I used to imagine a future where tech _enhances_ real life. A future where tech _replaces_ real life sounds like something out of a dystopian movie like The Matrix.

I'd still love to have that other future, tho.

My kids are 15 and 12 and technically considered gen Z but the person in this video thinks they must be gen alpha. (It doesn’t matter) They didn’t grow up with devices or social media.. my kids didn’t have any devices except a PlayStation 4 until 2021.
In 2021 my son got a gaming PC and started middle school so I got him a cell phone. My daughter had an iPod.

Literally every single generation that ever existed has said the same exact things word for word about the one that comes after. It's just life, people will adapt

Every gen changes society. A constant chain of events.

Oh please. Adults have always thought the kids of their day were destined for failure. When I was a kid it was the TV and video games. And everyone thought computers were going to put everyone out of work.

Gen Z jumped into the fast developing era ignoring all the risks associated with. Gen Alpha will face worse without proper guidance. Only millennials were well prepared for this new era.

If you want to know what the future going to really look like just watch the conversation between JC Denton and the AI Morpheus from the 2000 game Deus Ex

I plan to retire at 62 in another country outside the US that is free, safe and very cheap with a high quality of life. I could fully just rely on only my SS if I wanted to when that times arrives but I'll also have at least one pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific Investment account with my Tracy Britt Cool Consulting my FA. Retiring comfortably in the US these days is almost impossible. I honestly don't understand why people don't move to another country when they get older in retirement. It seems everybody has excuses for almost anything to not take action to better their situation.

We need to define generations now because everything is changing so fast.
