I don't have any Bluetooth issues on my M1 Mac Mini. Thanks for the video! I will hold off until there's a more substantial update.

I like these semi-unedited videos that shows this guy's personality. More of a warm and authentic feeling to the videos.

Hey the slower ssds are only found on the 500 GB models. 1tb and higher don’t have the downgrade

lol I love the questions people ask about ram. its like "is 32 gb enough to run safari???" My mac is 8 gb right now and I have parralels open, safari with like 40 tabs (maybe 5 of them with youtube open), chrome, firefox, 2 medium sized numbers documents, 3 notability windows, microsoft teams, pages, keynote, and a bunch of lighter apps all open. My machine is fine. Even when I was using garage band to edit a 30 min track it was fine.

I found it funny when your Apple Watch was asking you to stand up earlier in the video.

wifi 7 is supposed to be much bigger update than 6E... but it looked like apple insider got a lot better wifi speeds even with a wifi 6 router on the new macbooks

it's refreshing to watch a review that focuses on real-world questions, e.g. Bluetooth 5.3 performance. Thank you.

Is there a difference in base frequency between the 16" M2 Max and all the other M2 models? Based on the GB score reports, it appears there is, and they are 3.7 GHz and 3.5 GHz, respectively. And does high-power mode (which is specific to the M2 Max) have an effect?

it's also hard to get info about the macs because all the "reviewers" say the same thing. they basically repeat apple pr and then show us the same benchmarks. there's a surprising lack of innovation amongs the "tech youtubers."

A youtuber alerted people DON’T buy the 14” MacBook with M2 Max chip. He claimed that 14” MacBook’s cooling mechanism was found hard to withstand the heat from M1 Max chip; and as a result, he considered that it will be even worse for 14” MacBook’s cooling mechanism to cope with the heat from M2 Max chip.

I am not sure if it is really an issue or not. May I have your opinion on this issue?

Okay, could you help me out on this one?
I have a good custom PC with i7 12 Gen, RTX 3050 8 GB, and 32 GB RAM.

I’m a freelance photographer and videographer and use this setup to edit videos and photos. I’m looking for a laptop for shoots and work while travelling. I need a laptop as of now but I guess I can try to stretch my need for a laptop till the end of this year.

I’m saving money to get the M3 Pro MacBook Pro 14’’ with the 11 core CPU, 36 GB Ram and 1 TB SSD and I’m considering selling my PC for this laptop.
Is it worth it?

Also, I am getting a brand new M2 Max MacBook Pro With a 12-Core CPU And 30-core GPU, 32GB Ram 1TB SSD for the same price as the M3 Pro MacBook Pro 14’' with the 11 core CPU, 18GB RAM and 512GB SSD.

Now I have 5 option

1. Sell my PC setup and completely switch to a good variant of MacBook
2. Get the M3 MacBook Pro with 16/32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD and keep my PC as well
3. Buy a good Windows laptop and keep my PC
4. Save more money for the M4 Pro.
5. Or Get the M2 Max MacBook Pro With 12-core CPU And 30-core GPU, 32GB RAM 1TB SSD

Note:-
1. Old variants of new MacBooks are the same price as the newer ones in my country
2. I don’t trust refurbished or second-hand laptops in my country

If anyone has any configuration suggestions please reply or any other advice

Thank you

Ironically your SSD speed tests were exactly what _I_ needed. _ALL_ I’ve seen is people testing the base models and complaining about the lower amount of chips, which slows things down. Good to know for someone on a budget but I’ve been saving for a while now to get a 16” Mx Pro or Mx Max and can’t decide… but that’s with similar specs, 32 GB RAM and at least a TB SSD. But do I go higher end Pro, or jump to the lower end Max??? I need those comparisons. As a web guy who programs and does graphics work, how much will it help?? 🤷‍♂️

With Logi devices, I would recommend using their Bolt adapter than Bluetooth. Seriously, better performance especially if "somebody" owns multiple Logi wireless keyboards and mice.

I genuinely don't understand how people feel compelled to upgrade to new Macs every year. Shy of the jump from Intel to Apple Silicon, it's been iterative developments for ages. This is great for anyone looking to jump onto Apple silicon now or who MAYBE had an M1 MBP and missed out on the updated display.
