Working with springs can be exceptionally dangerous, the energy they store can indeed fuck you right up. Also the hardened steel is sensitive to shock damage and can easily form a hairline fracture if dropped on a hard surface, if you order new springs for car or truck keep this in mind and make sure you receive them well packaged before mounting.
