Cast Iron or cast Ferrous, will always crumble and shatter, as its peppered with impurities, and its molecules are widely distributed. Drop forged steel will resist and deform, as its molecules are compacted closer. I would like to see some forged steel crushed. It would be boring as it would just give under pressure, by deforming.
