Superior Spider-Man has always been an interest to me. He sits in a weird place for me, is he a hero? A villain? An anti-hero? Whatever he is I fucking love him.

I wish his lenses was black tinted instead of white lenses, just a small little detail between the two Spider-Man yknow?

One thing that I enjoy about Superior Spider-Man is that, while Peter holds back in fights in order not to kill, Otto tends to not, so we get to see the full capabilities of someone with Spider-Man’s powers almost all the time with Superior.

One of the things I prefer the most about Otto is that he has a very supervillain overlord approach to crime-fighting.

He doesn't care if the villains go terrorize some other city or whatever.
He only cares about *his* city being safe.

He's protecting San Francisco not as its hero, but as its owner.

I'm happy he's back. While I don't want anyone replacing Peter I'm fine with him sticking around as a separate character. Octavius as a villain had kinda stagnated for a while, so having him back as a antihero is refreshing.

Spock is just such a fun character. He’s got a character flaw, his absolute arrogance, but at the same the times he’s humbled, like around Anna Maria. It makes it such a fascinating character to read. Me personally, I want to read about him. Much more then when he was Doc Ock. So do course Marvel will decide in a few months to go back to “basics” with SpiderMan and turn this fantastic character back into just a villain.

That theory makes a lot of sense! I loved the Kane solo series, read the hell out of that, one of the only marvel runs from that time I go back to frequently

Looking at the cover I can say for sure it's a ballsy comic.

One detail I've found interesting is that the cover arts been showing his Waldo arms with an organic texture in contrast to the metal form we've seen before. I'm wondering if that's going to be a story element going forward.

After the success of Venom and Spider man into the spider verse.
I think we are gonna get more Venom and Spidey's or Spider verse medias.

Terrax. That'll be a one sided fight...at least it should be unless they repeat the absurd scenario where Spiderman was actually able to defeat Firelord. Few stories made me angrier than that one

I think that they're going to pull a Schizoid Man from Trek... Eventually Peter's goodness will trigger his conscious and he'll back up. To what extent, we'll see.
I agree with accessibility. Even if you are familiar, it would be difficult to keep up. If you're 'backslidden', it would be even harder.

My reaction to Superior Spiderman: Say what you will about the comic, but Spidey has an awesome costume. Same with Devil May Cry 2. Might not be the most popular game, but Dante sure had a snazzy outfit. It looked great in SMT Nocturne.

Here's a good idea of how new fans with no history will react. Had my wife who is becoming interested in comics read this issue because we saw spider-verse last week and she kept stopping every other page asking "who's this?, That?, What?"
