Surgeons told me that I needed surgery to fix my SLAP tear and that I would never be able to do calisthenics again. That wasn't an option for me!

Respect man. I got in a motorcycle crash at 23, the doctor said I'd never lift heavy again, and to give up bodybuilding and do cardio. Multiple spine fractures, shoulder, ribs, etc. 2 years later, I started again. I'm now 29 benching 315 for 12. I don't squat or deadlift because my back is sensitive, but I showed him a video last year. He was shocked. Never let doctors limit you. They don't know your body or capabilities. I studied so hard like you did. Learned everything I could do without affecting the back negatively. Back to peak performance

Yeah dont go terribly heavy on the dip unless you know what you are doing and pls have it warmed up first. People think pressing overhead is injurious but it actually is helping me getting over some fuckery i might have done to my shoulder vía dips. Pls be smart

Do you feel confident that your shoulder could handle throwing a punch or swinging a weapon?
