I don't live in MO, but visit frequently as my daughter does. It is a great state with great people. Very diverse topography and so much to see and do wether you want city or to get out in nature, MO has it.

Fantastic video! I imagine you enjoyed this project as much as I did viewing it. You've probably got a trillion more pertinent things to work on, but these sort of topics are highly encouraged.. . I was raised in a few notable communities north of KC... All 7 years of college at NWMSU, back in Chillicothe now.. One of the great things about MO (until recently) is it's lower cost of living... I've scoured the Midwest in my RV in IA, CO, LA, even 2 separate year long trials living in Northern TX.. but MO is the only financially secure state I could park my RV, set up all utilities and hunker down when covid hit, rarely ever exceeding 500 a month for my total bills and expenses... optimistic we will endure current economic turmoil, but many communities in north MO who aren't already operating with interdependent principles (such as the Amish or Dancing Rabbit) are preparing to adopt their methods rather than succumb to this economic inflation... bottom line is MO just makes sense, safety and security..

I was aware of that coastline trivia you shared, but I didn't know that MO's lakes and caves were so profoundly unique to neighboring states... makes sense in retrospect lol

Thanks again!
Keep these "Missouri-centric" coming!

Enjoy Warrensburg! (lovely city, gorgeous university ❤)

Onondaga isn't too far from me, about 30 minutes and it's absolutely beautiful, the cave and the rivers

We’re looking at potentially moving to Whiteman and the first thing I look for whenever we move is a CrossFit gym so I’m happy there’s one in Warrensburg!

I moved to Missouri to get away from California. I lived there my whole life and it was very good to me, but the California I grew up in and loved has turned into a Sh*t hole because of politicians like Gavin Newsome.

We are moving to Missouri from Colorado primarily because it is a red state. As Colorado grew in the last couple decades, the political climate changed. With this change came more crime, more vagrancy, more pollution, and a drastically reduced standard of living. COVID mandates was the straw that broke the camel's back as our small business could not recover from all the shutdowns. It used to be like that South Park episode were you could see the change from wonderful nature beauty to brown cloud driving from Colorado into Nebraska. Now it is the other way around.

I was born and raised in Southeast Missouri, and we almost never call ourselves midwesterners, nor do we consider ourselves the Midwest down here. We are Southerners. We have the credentials to prove it lol. We speak with a southern accent, we grow rice, cotton, and peaches, we have Swamp Tupelo and Bald Cypress Swamps, our culture in the.flatlands of the Missouri Delta is more akin to the states of Alabama, Mississippi and West Kentucky and Tennessee, and in the Ozarks more akin to Southern Appalachian states such as Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. The music is the same, the cuisine is the same and the overall way of life is the same. Warrensburg, I don't know about, but down here, we are the South. And I will add that St. Louis has the best barbecue in the nation. When I go up there, I love grabbing some barbecue or a pizza from either Imos or stefaninas. I know, pizza isn't exactly a southern thing, but it's just alittle side note lol.

You are a bit on the selling part of Missouri. As far as seasons go it gets extremely hot in the summer and extremely cold in the winter. Spring and summer brings violent storms and tornadoes. high wind, hail, flooding of even small creeks . Drought, and insects. The roads in the country get bad. Friendly people sometimes yes. But it is a state where everyone waves when you meet them coming down the road in rural areas, maybe because you are the first person they have seen in days or . Trust is a different item all together. The trust issue comes from the civil war where both sides robbed, burned, and raped. That attitude is one that in this day and age is also logical. Wages are low and jobs almost non existent in small towns. I have met people that moved from that place who were broke and nearly starving. Agricultural based areas and wages low because when the railroads dried up so did the opportunities for local business. Recession after recession caused the young graduates to move where they could make a living. If you move to Missouri you better be close to a Metro area or independently wealthy. Even the small towns around the cities are in bad shape.

Missouri isn't a big move to state such as states like Florida, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Idaho, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington. Heck, even Kansas has more transplants than Missouri.

Born and raised in MO. What is a shame is the people who move here, especially from CA, that. move here for a reason, lower cost of living, affordable housing, kindness, slower pace, safety, etc. Then they promptly start trying to make it like the shit hole THEY MOVED FROM. They aren't smart enough to know why or how the state they fled from became the disaster it is. My husband is now retired from the military, so I have lived in many different states, I would like to suggest people move to Arkansas. Except CA's they should NOT be allowed to move from the state, until they straighten it out!!! STOP infecting other places like Colorado and Texas that are starting to be degraded by the infusion of the fruits and the flakes from CA.

I am considering moving to the east suburbs of Kansas City where I can transfer my job at Bass Pro. I'm partially retired but my husband will need employment. We are literally being forced out of Sacramento CA because of the extreme rise in rent. We simply cannot survive. We also are very conservative and just sick of it here. I was born and raised in St. Louis so I will kinda be coming back home. Any recommendations, pros and cons will be of great help.
