I remember moving to the US from Germany and being surprised that people always said kids hate spinach and broccoli, because I loved those things growing up. Now my baby loves both too. You just have to make it well!

Spinach is one of the main meals we had growing up also mum made it for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. like all German meals mum was a great cook that's one of the things I miss so do my children your vlogs are great I've learned a lot watching you.

Very nice Video ... I'm a Brit, been in Germany for over 40 Years! ... Spinach, Fried Potatoes, Scrambled Egg and Meatloaf (Spinat, Bratkartoffel, Rührei und Leberkäse) is one of my favourite German dishes ... Simple, hearty and very tasty.

I grew up with this dish. Was my dad's favorite. Instead of fried egg on top, we used sliced hardboiled eggs.

I love creamed spinach. Oma had her own garden full of vegetables and whenever I visited her everything she made was so delicious. Using the the hand blender was something I never thought of, so much faster than chopping. Thanks for sharing your recipe with us. Look forward to your next one. Stay well and safe.

Thank you very much for this video😃 I really enjoyed your full tutorial and explanations. And I also enjoyed your relaxing and no-rush procedure. My parents and I came from Austria (Wien) to Australia in the mid 70’s and always ate all traditional foods from home. How I have missed spinach this way. I never did learn how it was made but now I can make it myself, with potatoes, egg AND some fried sausage, just how I remember, I especially remember my father used a lot of garlic, SO good!☺️

We make this recipe in Romania but we make a bechamel sauce instead of the cream and flour.And we only use garlic.Your recipe looks delicious as well and I will soon try it. I love spinach with fried eggs and bacon 🥰.

Thank you for posting this recipe! I've never been able to eat cooked spinach - it tasted like flavorless slime. Then I tried it at a restaurant in Berlin while on a business trip several years ago. WOW! I ate every bite that I was served, and requested that we revisit the same restaurant on our next trip so I could have it again. My German colleagues tried to find a recipe for me so I could try to make it, but didn't come through with one in the end. I will definitely make this recipe soon - your ingredients match the flavor profile that I recall. Thank you!

Mom used to use the greens from Swiss chard and then use the white part and make Shteel gemuse..shteel is how it sounded.. stretching the garden
