In this video, Dr. Berg talks about consuming cruciferous vegetables and estrogen.

Type of Estrogen:
1. 16 Hydroxyestrone – The type that INCREASES the risk for certain diseases.
2. 2-Hydroxyestrone – The type that DECREASES the risk of certain diseases.

If your ratio is very low in the type of estrogen that is protective against certain disease and very high in the type of estrogen that increases the risk for a disease, then you have to consume cruciferous.

Cruciferous vegetables has a unique compounds like Indol-3-Carbinol (I3C) that turns into DIM. There are also certain compounds in cruciferous vegetables that shift the ratio from the bad to the good estrogen.

Thanks Dr. Berg for this viedo. After my cancer surgery in Dec 1994. I wasn't coming back to health. Had heal all the way after a year. Was told it was because of the scleroderma l have. Then one day l heard Brussel sprouts were good for cancer patients to eat from Dr. LaCasa.
I started eating daily Brussel Sprouts. I started getting some energy back. As long as l eat daily a serving from this group of foods. I have more stamina and engery.
Been cancer free since 1997.

You are helping me to change my life little by little. I got hypothyroid this year. I've been making my shakes with Kale every day for a few months now. It took me 3 months of adjusting the kale ratio till I could eat it raw with no bloating. Now I feel like a salad on the inside, light and refreshing.

I have hemangioma on my liver and it started to be painful before my period in the last 3 years so i discovered from them that i have a high Estrogen because they are sensitive to Estrogens, since I started to consume Kale and cavege shake daily the pain reduced dramatically, Thanks Dr. Berg for your all informations that you share with us ❤️❤️

Hey Doc, I had cancer and when I watched your video I decided to follow what you advised. My tumor shrank from 6cm to .5cm in just 4 months.
I also knocked down my food bad habits and switched completely to vegetables and antioxidants herbs, that helped accelerate the healing process for sure..It’s such a blessing and a relief to my entire body.

Hi, I stumbled upon your you tube videos in 2018 about the body types. You have many great tips, but too much to process because I was a complete beginner and couldn’t grasp much but one thing for sure is I knew my body type. My weight loss journey has taken me back to your YouTube videos again. I agree, good healthy body is a lifetime journey. I love your videos, well presented, and very clear and very very informative! I take lots of walks and have stopped gym sessions because too much stress. I agree good sleeping hours is fundamental. My life has turned out much better because I sleep better, go for walks, do stretching exercises, eat right and drink good amount of water daily. I have lost weight by just doing that. I feel healthier, I go out the house more, walk a lot.
And I have enjoyed coming back to seeing your videos again because they reaffirm what I have learnt so far. I have two questions:
1/ how do I not loose a lot of salt in my body? What can I take to help keep a healthy dose of salt in my body?
2/ during my periods, I have minor joint pains in my wrists? What does this mean? Sometimes on my knees and both wrists. What can I do to ease this discomfort? When I was young, I was a Coca Cola addict. I am glad to say that for the very first time in my life I do not drink Coca Cola 3 times a week! IT IS AMAZING! I’ve never liked milk but now just this year, I have started having some with my cereals.
Really enjoy the information you give, they hAve really helped me. I do buy vitamins in the supermarket to supplement my diet. In your other video about cellulite, I am happy to know about your vitamins, that is available for purchasing.
Looking forward to learning more from your videos.

Ok I found out that I was borderline hypothyroid and my doctor told me to reduce my intake of these kinds of vegetables, he said they were "Goitrogenic" and they effect the thyroid in some ways. Now I see why more clearly. I take a small daily dose of iodine from kelp anyway just in case. Only 125 mcg.

I think this video is great and most of the content you put out has been very helpful to my health journey. I started keto lifestyle several months ago and keep thinking of reseting my system with carnivore month of eating. But some how I could not get off eating cabbage. This video makes me think that perhaps my body needs this type of vegetables for now and that's why I recently crave cabbage and cauliflower.
