Kassandra Pineda was charging her electric car at a Tesla supercharger station in Los Angeles. She says when she pulled the cable out, the car suddenly locked on its own. It trapped her toddler in the car. It was a scorching 109 degrees outside. Pineda was screaming for help when a bystander came to her aid. After a lot of pounding, he was able to bash in the car window. Inside Edition's Les Trent has more.

That is a parent's worst nightmare seeing their child in danger

Glad the mom and the good Samaritan acted so quickly. And the real kicker was that the mom was a foot away from the car when it got locked, and she was just fueling it up. Not neglecting her child at all.

Finally someone who was more concerned about their child than a window.

She swallowed her sentences.. that almost made me 😢cry😭 truly reared me up. She didn’t act like she was crying and she wasn’t acting shocked nor acting like nothing. She was swallowing her words and that’s when you know it’s real!

If I had a kid, animal or the keys in the car, I always roll the window down when I close the door. No matter what.

The fact that the footage is missing speaks volumes in regards to Tesla's awareness that their is a problem with the car and they either don't want to fix it or don't know how to fix it.

Get the app to Unlock the car. Have the key card on you. Get a Tesla ring. Have a family member unlock the car from anywhere. Turn ac on from the app. Turn keep ac on so it stays on. Dog mode if you have pets. Keep a door open. Take kids out. So many options there.

Always carry you phone, never leave it in your car! Anyone who drives a Tesla knows that that is how you can control the car! This wouldn’t even be an issue because all the controls including the function of air can be used through that app! My advice to her would be to keep your phone on you at all times! I have been driving Tesla’s for over 10 years and never had a problem like this! Glad she was able to get her baby out though and he was safe!

Praises the baby is fine . The real issue is why does the car keep locking infants inside and how did the footage erase after service. This mom was absolutely smart in all her actions that day. Good job mom, you inspire all of us.

There is cabin overheat protection to automatically turn the AC on.. you can unlock the car by logging into Tesla app from any phone

Don't Tesla's have a mobile app that can unlock the doors + turn on the air conditioning inside???

That's not a "fishing weight." That's the Tesla tow hook stored in the front trunk.

I like my beater truck it would be called now a days.. I just couldn't feel safe in a vehicle like that. So happy baby is ok and the kind people came to help. ❤

That’s a real mom. Willing to break her fists on glass to get at her kid.
