Did this and now got about 45 really healthy tomato plants from one tomato! Kept some and given the rest away ! Brilliant thank you!

Have only found your videos tonight and haven't stopped watching them. I only have a small back yard but wish to start growing my own food so is there any chance of doing some container videos for beginners like myself

Here in southeastern China since we have no snow season and temperature is around 15 ~ 38 C, we never "save" seed. I normal harvest all tomato from the plant, leave it at room temperature, eat them as normal. Until the last fruit we cut it in half horizontally and then bury it in soil. About 1 week later it well germinate into seedlings and we pick the best fews of them and let it grow. I am not professional farmer just a home gardener, to be honest if you are not saving the seeds for next year, you really don't need to do all those work to remove that gel and dry it. Just throw it in soil and let mother nature do the thing and enjoy your life. Plus if you are living in some dry area, just leave the seed out on some wax paper, let it seat over your table for one day or two, the get will gone magically without harming the seeds. the seed may looks bit dark if you let them dry in that way, but the seed will grow nice and healthy as long as you keep them cool and dry in next 2 years. Don't use seed more than 2 years old, last time I tried it just like throw sand into soil, nothing came out at all lol.

Lee, I really think, the more of your videos I view, that you should have a slot on children's telly. I believe you can inspire the younger generation into becoming gardeners, I wish I had the strings to pull.

I've been watching several video's done on harvesting tomato seeds this past week here in the states. I must say your way is by far the best and easiest way to clean them. No fermenting in a jar of water with all that water changing. I tried it and forgot to change the water for a few days and when I came back to check on them... I had a jar full of sprouting seeds. I was so upset because these were some of my more rare seeds and I lost a lot of them. So I thank you for this video immensely. You're the best in my humble opinion.
