We want to share our passion for efficient, sustainable homesteading that brings the family together. On our homestead we do chemical-free gardening, grass-fed milk and beef, pastured eggs and broiler chickens, and free range children :) We love to go on adventures as a family, so if we're not workin on the farm, we're probably hiking or out getting ice cream. We're all into DIY, and being inventive and creative. We believe in homesteading that's sustainable, not just sustainable homesteading. In other words, we want to show you that homesteading doesn't have to wear you out to the point that you give it up. We've seen it happen, and almost came to that point ourselves. Nothing like being barefoot in the garden. Love the soil. Love the look of it, the smell if it, and the touch of it. Happy gardening!

We found your channel about a week ago and have been binge watching your videos. In three weeks, my wife and I and our seven kids will be closing on our first home on 10 acres! It has been our dream to have our own homestead and watching your videos over the last week has gotten us all so excited and inspired to start this new chapter.

Balance. Exactly what every living organism is striving for. Our cells depend on it. So happy I found you guys--Ohio native here, too.

everyone makes fun of me for walking barefoot in my garden, I have to explain every time that dirt doesn't hurt and that grounding is a real thing. Seeing I'm not the only one that does that is awsome!

I constantly rewatch your vlogs, so relaxing.
I realize your life isn't all rainbows, but you and your family have it going on in a good way.

We really enjoy your videos… When we get wonky or extra comb from the bees, I often cut it off and then use rubber bands to “band@ it into an empty frame… then put that into the hive and the bees will continue to build the comb and they will attach it to the frame. Good job!

I planted wildflowers and saved the seed pods in the fall. It made a five gallon bucket full to throw everywhere I want to and help the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds!

Hi! Question: when you store your carrots do you wash them first? Thank you!

This fall (late September-November) plant some garlic cloves and watch them take off, even during the winter! I worked at a nursery and they sold seed garlic and they started selling it in September. They call it a cold season crop. Plant in the fall harvest around the 4th of July ❤️

Its not just the Walmart wildflower packets that are low on seeds! I planted packs feom a few sources this year and they are all the same way! An ounce of seeds just isnt much.

Have you thought of planting a row of fennel plants & put the squash seeds near them? I have tried to to deter squash bugs.

Check with your state’s conservation dept or organizations that will assist on pollinator habitats. There are cost-share programs and true practices for establishing native wildflowers. Be sure they’re native!

Your gardening videos are always my favorite, so much fun seeing everything getting started. Already can't wait to see the harvest and preserving videos. I only have a very small garden and struggling to grow much this year because of slugs and snails but I'm still having fun. Lots of love from the Netherlands ❤

I love how you guys both can work together and tell your story, for your videos, have you considered planting some pole beans around each corn plant when their about 1 month old then plant pumpkin or zucchini plants, to create a 3 sisters bed. Loving your channel.

My boys (10 and 7) and I found your channel recently and we have really been enjoying your videos. Check out African Blue basil for attracting bees. We grow it and it is been my favorite attractor yet! Thank you for all of the great videos!
