The Vespera is a really good telescope that is suitable for beginners but also has some godd features for advanced users. The CovalENS (mosaic) mode helps with walking noise as it is basically a dither process instead of a mosaic process. The raw TIFF files from different sessions can easily be combined in post processing and the plan my night feature or the manual entry of targets helps with more advanced projects. I had this scope with me on a over 7000km travel trough France and Spain in September and October this year and got a lot of images and I still need to process all the data I've got. This scope is perfect for traveling and I'm curious for the new version (Vespera Pro) coming out beginning of next year.

Thanks for this guys -- I've been waiting for this video! So, now that you've shot this, curious of your thoughts on the specs for the new Vespera Pro -- could it have done better??? Well, my guess is yes! Also, waiting patiently for the big Vaonis Nov 11 reveal! Once that hits, would love for you guys to do a video previous of these two new products based on the specs (obviously won't be until 2024 when you can likely get your hands on them). Appreciate all you do!

Vespera isn’t all that capable given it's exorbitant price tag. Unfortunately Vespera has limitations when it comes to Solar System targets due to its tiny aperture and extremely short focal length. Most of the planets, especially smaller ones like Venus and Mars, will mostly appear as unresolved disks. Some basic detail on Saturn and Jupiter is possible, but the Vespera is just simply not capable enough to get in close on them.

What will be the first actual astronomical discovery done with a Vespera or similar turnkey system? (I've borrowed the term "turnkey system" from industrial machinery -- it means a machine that is completely equipped to do a task when all you do is turn the key. I call these "turnkey telescopes.")

Try the Elephant Trunk Nebula in Cepheus, it is pretty dark. It is in the field of Nebulosity next to the red giant Mu Cephei. Matter of fact there is a bunch of nameless dark clouds there.
