Here is the link to purchase the kit.

Pretty straight forward to install. Wasn’t that hard.

Excellent instructional video. Anyone with even mediocre mechanical skill should be able to follow with no problems.

What an amazing video. Your editing must’ve been spot on because it’s seamless and you’re very knowledgeable. The way you lay it out. Just total thumbs up on everything.

I also had a flywheel with the keyway in the wrong position. I took it to my local machine shop and they cut a new keyway in the correct location and only charged me $40. Highly recommend this fix, the engine runs perfectly and I can feel confident that there won’t be any issues in the future . I depend on this engine every day, because I do commercial pressure washing, and it runs about 4 to 6 hours a day 5 days a week and I don’t have a backup engine.

Excellent video sir. I expect to install this conversion kit on my GX390 on my Simpson Pressure Washer. I'm 68 years old with shoulder problems, too old to be pulling manual recoil starters!

Boss showed up with one of these for a pressure washer unit we rent out.
Boss " Do you know how this goes on there?? "
Me " No but im sure youtube does!"
Hot the fly wheel back on and about to finish up!!
Thank you for the video!!

Good video. I have the same kit. No instructions. No invoice. No company name of who or where it came from. Weird. My kit wiring version has the black split . One leg goes to ignition coil for spark. The other runs the new electric switch. I just clipped old switch wire and left it run through original diode for low oil. Also weird was the white wire coded to brown for charging coil. I havent started it yet. Going to buy a new spark plug and wire for charger. I was going to say. A 2 5/8 " hole saw worked . Wouldnt have known that had I not watched your video. Good you mentioned gear line up. And cure in comments. Mine has no wiggle room in bolt holes. Hope it meshes or its drill city.

Thanks for the video, it helped out a lot. But in my experience. My starter was binding/ seizing up after half turn or so, it was struggling. I struggled for two days trying to find out why my starter was seizing up, and it turned out the jumper cables I was using to test it out wasn’t giving the starter enough juice to crank it all the way. Wired it straight to the battery and problem solved. Hope this helps 🦾

Fyi if you take a piece of notebook paper and fold it in half, it makes for a good shim to set the gap of the ignition coil to the flywheel. Just loosen the screws with the paper between the coil and the magnet of the flywheel, and let the magnet pull the coil to the flywheel. Tighten the screws and rotate the paper out.

To whoever has a new flywheel keyway that is not aligned with the original, you can remove the teeth ring and insert it into the original flywheel.

I'm doing this on my 8 HP Honda snowblower. Yes I know it has 120 volt starting but I don't want to be 30 yards down my lane and have an engine stall. Besides I'm old and don't like pulling that big engine over. lol.
