$15 DIY REMOTE START on a Predator 212 Gokart! With Wiring Diagram

In this video we show you how to add Remote Start capabilities to any small engine with electric start for only 15 dollars! We used our Mini ATV build as the platform and with only a few wires and minimal work we were able to get it to work. Great tutorial! Probably the only downside is that you can't use this with the Predator 212 electric start kit. UNLESS, you remove the factory key switch box that normally comes with the kit, and replaces it with a push-button start as you guys have.

I did this to a riding lawn mower... it worked great 👍 simply wire tap the switch to the starter solinoid and it will work perfectly

If it was me I would seal this thing up with some silicone to keep moisture out. I bet you in theory could wire a second one to kill the motor as well. Not that you would want to.

Thank you guys for this awesome tutorial. I just installed it on a 2007 CRF450X and it works perfect. My only doubt is when I shut it down the green light on the remote box stays led. Does that light will turn itself off or does it stay on permanently. I'm concerned with battery drainage since I don't used it all the time.

If you remove the governor you will need a voltage regulator not just a rectifier.

$15 for the remote start but for $10 on ebay you can get an alarm with remote start. And it works 750 ft away with good remote battery

Will this work on a 420cc generator? I like to be able to toggle the power on and off on the generator that powers my welder on my work truck would be so much easier than getting up and going to the truck when it's placed far away between welding and finishing up the welds I go through so much gas already and looking for a remote option
