SPORTSTER S BLOWN MOTOR

Well after 5k miles something very serious is wrong with my bike. I was on the highway cruising at about 70mph when I heard a loud ticking noise. I thought maybe a heat shield was coming loose because a recently installed the TBR exhaust but no. I pulled over and heard very loud ticking. engine performance seemed ok but as soon as I got home the oil light came on and code p001900c came up. definitely sounds like metal clicking and clacking around. very disappointing time to get her to the dealer for surgery

Ive got the same bike. Is every one of these destined to have a blown motor? Ive got 700 mikes on mine, runs like a dream right now, hoping it doesnt turn into a nightmare.

Happened to mine at 490 miles with 0 mods, was hoping to finally get them to lemon it after all the electric issues i had before that. Instead harley sent a new motor 2 days later. So i still have it a year later, just waiting on it to drop a valve again. Lol. Fml

I had that issue with mine, had to get the whole engine replaced. Warranty will cover it

Timing chain? I have a Nightster with a similar engine, 3500 miles on it. It's been great, lets hope it doesn't come apart on me.

OMG what caused the engine to quit. The dealership did tell me that they have a problem with a Pan American (same engine) and after weeks it was the ECM . Let me know the problem as I own a Nightster (same engine, but smaller).

No problem with my 2022 just the Vin code error which the dealer fixed.

Maybe its about an aftermarket exhaust. Do you tune your ecu after install an exhaust? Its critically necessary.

I got my on 9/26 of last month
This the 2 time I wen to the dealership. I got engine light on. My sposter s wen off in Express way 2. And is making sparks every time I turn on 😭😭

My 2021 had the entire rear cylinder from the block up replaced due to "defects in manufacturing" at 750 miles. That was last fall. Haven't rode it since it was repaired under warranty. Actually trying to sell it.

Dude! Your bike looks sick with that exhaust. Is it me or is it golden? I got mine in sand pearl white and i’m dying to change the exhaust. Would you mind telling me about the exhaust and how to get a similar set up?
