About Nicholeen Peck
========================
Despite your best efforts at raising children, is your family dysfunctional? Do your children set the rules and have control of your home instead of you? Are you looking for parenting skills that will help you create a united, happy family?

Then meet Nicholeen Peck, one of the world’s most effective parenting experts. Whether you want to fix child behavioral issues, create more unity in the home, or simply strengthen your family relationships, her proven system — Teaching Self-Government — can help you turn chaos into calm.

"People are starving for help to save their families," says Nicholeen.

Since 1999, her seminars, workshops, one-on-one training sessions, parenting videos and books have helped thousands of families worldwide regain peace, be happy and maintain unity in their home. The secret? Learning how to use effective family systems based on parenting that’s deliberate and pro-active (instead of reactive). It all starts with the principles of self-government. If you’re a family of faith, you’ll especially love how your faith and values can be woven into her parenting system.

That conversation between your kids was way more mature than many disagreements among adults today. Hard to believe it was between a 7yo and a 5yo. Amazing!

I hate to be this person... But my husband and I (super tight-knit loving family), definitely try and teach them these skills. You know my son (who's 3) now says to his sister (5) "That's not necessary"... And we have good days where they've figured it out, but there are still days where when they don't get along and it's an allll day thing... And it is exhaustinggg to gently guide them through each and every situation. Eventually, it's a TV show or movie that makes it stop, so that's obv not the answer either. I know consistency is key, and we have been consistent, but every second day it's war between them. And my childhood is one where my entire family hated and fought with each other, so sometimes their yelling, and screaming really triggers me and I'll even experience wicked chest pains. I get it, consistency... And I have sharp smart kids, I'm just so exhausted and experiencing physical symptoms because of the stress of their battle matches.

Thanks! Yes schools teach about loving self, but not necessarily valuing others
