Thanks. Recently bought a usbc hub and thought it wasn’t working. But all I had to do was go to Files instead of Picture Library. Was able to get some content off an external HDD and put it onto my 2018 iPad Pro. I guess I’ll need an SSD to get stuff to it from iPad Pro. Gonna try and test my other HDD drives first though.

Nothing about prices or availability nor shipping? Could have said if it’s hard too get or easy outside of US. Some kind of ballpark for prices.
There was also no other details for the Lace aside from it looking cool and the transfer speed. Guess it doesn’t have anything else to offer?
These were presented from a portability standpoint what if that’s less of an issue?
Also do they work fine between a non Apple laptop and also using iPa d pro (back and forth)?

External storage is nice but it’s unfortunate that APFS encrypted SSDs cannot be used with an iPad 😕 hopefully this will change with iPadOS 14

I was under the impression...that it wasn't possible to edit from the external drive directly..
Can you confirm that ?

Also...the USB-C port on the iPad Pro. Is it USB 3.0 or 3.1 ?
I'm thinking that even if one gets an ultra fast drive...the iPad's USB port will bottleneck its performance.
Any solid data on this ?
