After dragging this 73 Maverick Grabber out of the woods of Tennessee and cleaning it up it is finally time to see if this 250 inline six is going to be a runner or not. Watch as we tear down this engine that is the worst we have ever taken apart.

I was waiting for Ralphie to say, "Do 24 volts"! Thanks for spending all the extra time just to see what was wrong with it just for us!

A 351 Cleveland would be awesome in that grabber

You are so lucky to have a family that shares your passion for cars and hotrods

A 302 cu will fit in that size Maverick. That engine looked like someone sabataged it with a bag of sand. Looking forward to seeing this build.

In my opinion, building up that 250 and making the Maverick a solid bracket car would be a great way to introduce Wawa to working on and racing her own car. It's not always about how fast you can go. Just watched to the end. That thing is junk, but I still think you should put in a 6, even if you just get another one.

I have to say I really appreciate you guys keeping things at a family viewing platform. A truly enjoy watching you guys. Good entertainment. Great family values. I catch myself getting tied in and watching the kids grow and the family grow together it's really great to be able to watch. Thank you for what you do. Keep it up guys we love to have you here.

302 Motor. If I remember that was one they would have in that car. It was bad ass. In 1973 I had one that was Blue that came in that need a head job on it 250/ 6 it was very fast. The car was almost new. Working at Ford was some my best time in my life. My Father-in-law was a top mechanic for Ford. I think it is great to you and your family working together.

For ralphie’s obsession with parts clean this will be heaven, this would be a good video for “how bad can an engine be and come back?”

Lots of 302's still available, and usually reasonably priced. I don't know if you want to mess around with a third peddle, but this would really increase it's value.

Looks like an old QuakerState engine. Back when QuakerState Oil came in the white and green cans.

Always remember, if it doesn't turn freely at first try, pull it out and replace with any good motor laying around. You know you're going hot small block anyway!! I hope!! I've gotten to old to do all you can do. I love your channel and i appreciate all you do. Thanks
again!!

351 CJ if you can find one, 351 Windsor if you can't. Even a hot 302 would be sweet. Change to a 5 speed manual for wAA, she'll love it.

The Bigfoot and Squeeze clip had me laughing.

If you have a Cleveland, definitely drop one in… don’t forget to check the rear end
