“You have to ask yourself, what is the future of a society that doesn’t invest in it’s children” the most valid statement here

Being alive is expensive and getting more expensive every day.

Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place. <It's all coming together and it could lead to a real disaster towards the end of this year (or sooner). With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.

I say this without sarcasm.
If you have severe financial issues or medical issues, please, please, consider not bringing in children to this world.
It's absolutely awful to put children in bad situations.
If for whatever reason, you want to have children, then at least don't have 5. Have 1.
I know that sounds awful, but it will make for less poverty for you.

Why is there still poverty in America?
George Carlin: The poor are there just to scare the shit out of the middle class. Keep 'em showin' up at those jobs.

I remember when my daughter was little I received a package of diapers from a social service agency and I felt like I was handed a one-hundred dollar bill. I always gave back as my daughter was growing and still will help those that need it. I was an educated person but I fell on bad times and needed help. We all need to help each other. Merry Christmas and stay Healthy!

Disposable diapers are a fairly recent invention. My mother raised two children with cloth washable diapers. Maybe we need to go back to that. Eighty dollars a month for diapers is a huge amount of money for low income households.

Half of the army's budget is enough to eradicate poverty

I'm from a 3rd world country. The way I see it you're not that poor, you're lucky that a lack of diaper is already considered as a major problem. Food and shelter is the #1 problem of poor people. Having a diaper is already a luxury for most people.

Poverty is not just having low income or no income, its a vicious cycle that families and individuals cant seem to get out of.

Spend less on military, stop lying about terrorism, help your citizens, really make your country great again, for EVERYONE, not just the 1%.

To save money or provide more for everyone, just provide two packages of cloth diapers for every baby. Disposable diapers are a complete waste of money. They also harm the environment.

Anyone can spend money. Putting it to better use actually requires more thought. Hope this program changes for the better.

The rent prices in America are getting worse. I live in a large town and when I moved here 5 years ago, a two bedroom house was around $700 a month. In 5 years they've demolished majority of our affordable houses and rebuilt small 2 story townhouses. All the homes around me are now $1400 a month. Rent has doubled in 5 years and all the locals have been displaced. They wonder why our homeless problem has increased.

I’m not having baby until I know I’m well off to the point where I can afford to support 2 of me within the same house.

Nobody who has got a job in this country should be living in a poverty level, it is not about the individual, it is the system that kept them poor.

I suppose having 5 kids when you are a porly educated single mom falls into the category of personal responsibility for beeing poor.
