Art of manliness actually had an amazing article on the OODA. But to summarize what they wrote. It's basically a mental model that shows you how the human mind flows, and it allows you to be open minded and find solutions rather than being closed minded and being dogmatic. It makes you see the world through constantly new lenses or paradigms so you can find solutions faster. OODA allows you to use many other mental models and find all the common characteristics and make them into your own. Making your own tools for life and constantly finding new ways to improve them or finding new tools in general. In other words, its a tool for being proactive. At least that's what I got from it.
