Gun to the head, are you taking an M2/M3/M4/M5?

And if you think you can look better in Piloti's than McLaren man, find yourself a pair here:

It looks like the grand theft auto version of itself

What I like most about the new M2 is how good it makes the old one look.

its truly incredible how they engineered a fairly small car to be nearly 2 tonnes

I'm not surprised about James' assesment: The S58's max. torque starts 500 rpms later and I'm pretty certain the gearing of the manual gearbox has not become any shorter. As usual: Brilliant review.

I'm really glad that Toyota and BMW could trade efforts to build sports cars. Toyota got a chassis and powertrain from the BMW Z4, and BMW was able to get styling from the Scion TC.

Base 2023 Mustang GT curb weight 3705lbs (1680kgs). Base 2023 Camaro 1SS curb weight is 3685lbs (1671kgs). The base curb weight of this M2 is 3814lbs (1730kgs).

How in the hell did that happen?

Laughed soooo hard when Thomas put the tie on and went off on the design 😂

Always makes me happy to see more car reviews filmed in Arizona! We've got some great roads and vistas here that rival the typical scenery seen in most California-filmed reviews.

i drive the 2023 M3 manual i do have to agree, one of my main complaints is how rather soft the clutch and stick feels. yes, for daily driving it is nice, but when im on the track it doesn't feel as snappy as id like for it to be. my previous car was the type r so i was very accustomed to a more aggressive clutch and manual feel. i expected the M3 to have a similar feel but i was rather disappointed. i did a slide at one point when driving on the track and when downshifting to second gear to gain speed again it locked out on me for a sec, unsure if it was my error but it did catch me off guard. the new screen is beautiful but has its major share of issues. when driven on the track, it tends to cut in and out of apple carplay to then just not work at all when reaching higher speeds. and on casual driving it the heads up display will work for the most part but there are times i would have to turn off the car and turn it back on to get it to work properly. its my first and only bmw i've driven and owned so i cant compare how it is to previous models, but overall i am happy and in love with the car, it did amazing on the track and was at the end of the day i was very satisfied with how the car drove, it's definitely a heavier car which took some getting used to after coming from a type r but it is still an amazing car at the end of the day.

The N55 is always deserving of being that baseline where the real M engines start, especially for the S55. I’d want one in Toronto Red too

The best thing about this new m2 is how confident it makes me feel in my f30 328i. Never have I not wanted to upgrade my car more than I do now!

Being old enough to remember the "Bangle" BMWs (even though Mr. Bangle already did the ones before and they looked great) this seems like an hommage to "looks bad, but look how brave we are by sticking to it!" from back then. (not just the M2, the 3 and 4 series and all the beaver teeth current BMWs. The 2 series at least isn't that much of an offender in the grill departement, but anything below around the car looks tasteless.) How beautifull the old one looks now! Also the inside picture you showed of the old one looks way more elegant and classy than the rectangle display that needs the mid mounted supportbracket we can see several times in the video.
I don't get why manufacturers place free standing displays for the important functions wihtout any kind of sunglare protection hood.
It just looks bad to me. And like a bad idea with sun comming form the side too.
