Honda didn’t yet provide the price information for the 2023 CR-V crossover SUV. However, Car and Driver estimate a starting price of $29,000. When factoring in inflation and the new design, the 2023 CR-V will likely cost slightly more than the 2022 CR-V. The starting price of the 2022 CR-V ranges from $26,800 MSRP for the LX trim up to $36,600 MSRP for the Touring trim. For the 2022 CR-V Hybrid, the starting price ranges from $32,010 MSRP for the EX trim up to $37,800 MSRP for the Touring trim.

Buyers of the new 2023 Honda CR-V have a choice of two engine options. The regular CR-V model comes equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which generates 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. The CR-V Hybrid, which combines a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors, produces 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. While the turbocharged engine received minor tweaks, the hybrid system is all-new for 2023.

For the drive system, the CR-V offers either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. On the towing front, the gas-powered CR-V can tow up to 1,500 pounds, while the CR-V Hybrid has a maximum towing capacity of 1,000 pounds. For efficiency, the estimated gas mileage figures for the CR-V are not yet available.

The Sportage is the latest vehicle from Kia to emerge as a hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) for a rapidly electrifying market. The 2023 Sportage Hybrid is the third SUV in Kia’s stable to join the new EV strategy.

We reported on this model’s release date, pricing, and specs back in November, but Kia America has confirmed some key details that were only estimations back in the fall.

How much does the 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid cost?

The starting price of the 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid ranges from $27,290 for the LX trim up to $36,190 MSRP for the SX-Prestige trim.

The 2023 Sportage Hybrid has the same hybrid powertrain as the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. Combining power from a turbo 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a 44-kW electric motor, it generates a total system output of 229 hp. Like the Tucson Hybrid, the Sportage Hybrid has a six-speed automatic transmission. Buyers of the Sportage Hybrid can choose either a front-wheel drive system or an all-wheel drive system.
