if dragging the illustrator file into the after effects panel doesnt make the import window appear and fails to extract the layers, Make sure CREATE PDF COMPATIBILE FILE is ticked when saving your illustrator file it should solve the issue.

But what if I make edits in Adobe Illustrator, for example, change the color and save, will these edits be applied to Adobe After Effects if both of these applications are on different computers? Thank you.

Need to do a windows version of the commands for those of us that don't use Macbooks. functions with the command key are different in windows!

Overlord. Is. A. LIFESAVER. A Game changer. There are just some extensions that are indispensable and worth every penny. Excalibur for Premiere. FX Console for After Effects. And Overlord for Illustrator/After Effects.

I have seperated layers just like how it shows your screen but it doesn’t allow me to drag them individually, even when i click on the seperate layers it does not highlight my shape, what am i doing wrong 🥺
