This is hilarious. You made me watch 6 minutes to say two things or really only one single thing. Which is "grade your cards before selling them".
You didn't explain what to buy. Where to buy. Except that you said you started off with a personal collection off of ebay, on a random sidenote.
You didn't explain where and how to sell. Whether or not you have to pay tax which you probably have to do. Register a business. How this is pure gambling whether or not a personal collection off of ebay is not pure trash and then you are at a loss for the grading costs.

That's how you make money. You made people watch 6 minutes for a bullet point list that cointained a single bullet point: "Grade your cards before selling".
Not only that, you also sell a lot of things. And I mean a LOT.
Genius.

I’m really enjoying focusing on grading. The hunt of finding raw cards, the process of preparing submissions, and awaiting how things pan out then finding collectors that are thrilled to add to their collection. It’s my favorite part of the hobby!

Great tips! Our family just got into pokemon cards last year by getting random items but we didn't know anything about collecting or the hobby. We bought the cards to build decks and play with our boys. Fast forward to today and we have our first 50 card lot heading out to CGC. It's content like this that allowed us to realize the potential of the hobby and give us fuel (liquid) to continue crackin packs. Love this kind of content

Nice to meet you. My name is yuzupon, a Japanese youtuber who is opening a Pokemon card. I have watched the video. It was a lot of fun. thank you. I want to make friends with people around the world through Pokemon cards. I think it's a content that can be enjoyed without words. If you don't mind, I'm still new to youtube, so please bear with me.

Paper value is very different than market value I've found especially for graded cards. I have graded about 200+ pretty higher end cards over the last year and you almost always have to sell at a discount (to sell quickly) plus ebay fees, plus taxes you now have to pay online after selling over 600 bucks.. its only worth it for cards that have a pretty definitive profit margin in my opinion. I don't have time or patience to bother selling 70 mediocre slabs. But generally this concept you have here is good, of grading high quality stuff, sell some off to pay for the rest, thats what I've mostly done

Came over from pokerev's channel and I'm 100% glad I subscribed and honestly I dont think I'll ever get into doing this wash rinse repeat method for collecting but you sharing this knowledge and advice with us and keeping it 100% real and true to yourself and us is why I keep smashing that like button and notifications bell on!

You the man! Currently building up to my first PSA submission. After hopefully hitting a few 10s, I'm hoping to push my purchasing power into the next tier and start only using hobby money for the hobby.

Watched a few channels but I got to say your channel is the best mate! Some other YouTubers are just annoying and yell all the time I.e pokerev etc lol thanks for keeping it 100 for the older crew 😂

Instead of selling individual cards, does anyone know if it is profitable to buy a box of cards at the store, not open it, and then sell it online a year or two later? I wonder what the average ROI for this is.
