He wouldn’t be on your side folks. He’s clearly stating that the paradigms we use are unfair; but he believes they are necessary. Don’t get it twisted. You’re actually disagreeing with him if you suggest otherwise.

Whenever I read comments under Jordan Peterson videos about this and similar subjects, I get the impression he would disagree with 95+% of the commenters' views on that subject.

From my perspective it’s just how people view themselves and what to be viewed like in society. If it give someone crippling depression o be viewed as their biological sex so they transition what is the problem with that. They amount of ridicule and hate that trans people have to endure for expressing themselves in a non harmful way is sad. Gender identity really only matters to the individual you don’t “do anything with it”. If it improves peoples mental health and overall welfare why argue against it?

I think a mature response would be to live in comfort with an identity they're comfortable and satisfied with. But I have a feeling it's not so easy or simple given how emotionally charged the topic is.

Now what? Nothing. Just accept it. There is no harm nor consequence brought onto you when someone tells you that, it's just like when someone tells you they are Jewish, vegan or color blind

I am ok with the freedom of expression and the desire to be what you want to be so long as it is not imposed upon others around you. Just because you define yourself one way, do not expect me to automatically respect it or abide by your desires and definitions, especially if they go against what I believe. Those social privileges are earned.

I don't believe that in a world surrounded by opportunities and choices that you have to let culture "crush" you into anything. We live in a time where how you identify is arbitrary and culture treats you based on the content of your character

I think the issue is that nobody is hearing how he is attempting to actually understand it. Bring citations and sources that he can study and recognize.

I appreciate the new genders, as they bring up a conversation about how people aren't just simply "male" or "female" in a black and white sense. But I approached it a bit differently. Im born female, and am female. But I don't limit myself to what people perceive as "female" things. It gives me immense freedom while not being so confused and open ended in who I am. I don't need to change my gender to do anything traditionally masculine.

But it is coming from a place where I don't know why people felt the need to identify as a different gender. Maybe their lives compelled them to do that and it makes sense for them and it feels more like they're in their own skin. This feels like my skin for me.
