The people at Talksport at this point are bullying Keown by pairing him up with Simon Jordan. The man never knows what he’s talking about. He tries to sound measured and astute but comes across completely clueless. Third round replays should 100% be a part of the cup. This sport is going to die in this country to satisfy the greed of these bigger clubs and it’s disgusting. Top flight football is becoming harder to watch and enjoy let’s have a little love in the game!!

Tamworth got into the Third Round precisely because they weren't forced to go to a replay in the Second Round against Burton - you cant complain about a lack of replays whilst simultaneously benefiting from it.

What they should do is scrap replays in the qualifying rounds too, and up the prize money for the earlier rounds to make up for any financial shortfall

Martin was absolutely bent over & owned by Simon here, this wasn't a debate, this was a battering, Martin really showed himself up here.
Re FA Cup replays, there should be relays! Big clubs have bigger resources & should be able to cope despite all the demands of the fixtures. Clubs first priority should be to National Competitions first, Carabo/FA Cup, then subsequently Europe, despite the revenue.

Hold on, United were pressured to play in that tournament by the government because it would "help" our world cup bid. Ken Bates wouldn't allow united to play a scratch team in the 3rd round. They couldnt do both.

I think it’s terribly sad that replays have been abolished. Replays at a poor ground or at a stadium like Spurs’ made the FA Cup special and gave lower league teams the opportunity to earn enough money to keep them afloat for a few years

I would like to see us go back to the days of 3 or 4 replays if needed. Too many matches? Reduce pointless Internationals and extended European competitions.

I've said it before I'll say it again, Make the league cup only for teams who don't qualify for Europe! This will mean lower teams have a more realistic chance of winning a cup and the bigger teams will be playing less games
