My family is extremely loud and explosive, whereas I am (or I try) to remain calm. Sometimes however, they behave in such triggering manners I need to distance myself for hours just to mantain my peace of mind.

I never used to do my homework because I had a serious procrastination problem. Then I would get stressed out because of getting bad grades. And now recently I have discovered that actually doing my homework when I'm stressed calms me down because I have to concentrate on that. Win win!

Yes, I am calm. I grew up with a rageaholic.

I talk with God all day long. For example: "God, please help me accomplish something today."
(Currently I'm an under achiever because certain people block my goals of homeschooling so I'm just relaxing at home until my son is 16 and then I'll move on with him or without him; 6 years from now)

I avoid certain selfish people or being in the car for a long time with selfish people.

To be poised is to conquer myself. This is my goal.

Your video was helpful.

Thank you.

I think the best approach, is to remain calm and observe the problems of your life, accept the possibility that they might remain as such forever, but then try to do the things that will maximize the possibility of changing at least some of those things for the better. That way you don't stagnate, you move forward, you improve, but it's not a win-or-lose situation where you MUST make it, instead it's a simple attempt and whatever happens, happens.

i’m so exuberant and intense because i’ve learned in life that when in doubt just say something loud and confident and people will accept you, but i love people who are relaxing and welcoming, i want to be more like them, it’s socially exhausting the way i handle things

Im 38 now and been so aggressive that I want to punch somebody when im out of control and imagining brutal and evil things against people around me that went hating myself and asking at the same time why I have this negative thoughts and attitude so I began searching how to calm myself and start practicing how to slow things down and gradually I can control my thoughts and I can breathed calmly like a river and move like a kuala bear, I slowly inhale and slowly exhale and blank my mind and walk like air and forget all negative thoughts and now these simple tips became my gift. thank you very much for this wonderful video.

Hi,
Your video is really helpful. But the thing with me is that I have to have different tricks all the time. For instance, if one time a song or small video or something else helped me staying calm and feel relaxed out of high stress, the other time it doesn't work well. Then I need to find some other core and more intense tricks like watching a movie or going on a long drive. In years now I see that I have to do different tricks most of the time. Anyway- your videos are really informative. Thank you.

If we are more calm and more focused, our actions do slow down and we talk slowly and with a very high confidence. We know what we are doing. We can concentrate on one single thing at a time if we want, plus we can do 10 activities in one single moment also(yes it's possible) . If you are literally calmed down and are focusing on your breathing(very deeply), you will know your goal and how to achieve it, you will not afraid of anything you will just know you can do anything you want. It's a state like you have reached a 'bodhi' state. Your mind your intensity in doing things will reach to new hight and will go even higher as you take it .Nothing can budge your calmness than .

Im only 15 but suffer from extreme anxiety when I lose things or when I havent prepared for a test and it doesnt help the way I want to live as I go into overdrive and often cannot get to sleep. It really isnt helpful when somebody asks "What are you fretting about" it just makes things worse and often makes me get panic attacks
