Sorry I didn't go back and add the price in because I am waiting for Epax to tell me the Price!!! Will update here as soon as I know!

That plastic arm is most likely better than metal. It's made out of glass fiber reinforced nylon I believe, which is incredibly stiff. You can also increase the cross sectional area, so it will be stiffer than metal. Same goes for the build plate. It also will not permanently deform like an aluminum arm or build plate. I've printed full build plate parts on the E10 4k and had no issue.

Could you do a comparison of 28mm minis printed on the EPAX E10 5K and minis printed on the Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K? I'm really curious if the additional resolution of the Sonic is worth sacrificing build area for. Trying to decide what resin printer to go with for minis and terrain.

Contacted epax they said preorders might start in May. Taking this with a grain of salt since it was suppose to launch last October but COVID got in the way

I'm eagerly waiting for this one. Hopefully they can get supply up fast.

I've been wanting one of these. I've been holding off for the 5K.

3:21 Yes, the E6 has all the same plastic parts. I really like it actually.

Its not a plastic arm... the real arm under the plastic fascia, is a proper steel channel welded to a plate that attaches to the two linear rail carriages.

Greg FYI the version of the E10 4K they are shipping is shipping with the same high grade plastic arm and build plate you the one you received with the upgraded 5K screen.

i have this printer but with the 4 k screen. it uses the same build plate as the 5k one but the 4k screen is smaller. haven't had any issue with the plastic arm

Nice. Got the 4k version en route. So glad to hear somebody talking about the shape of the build plates and how that affects resin pooling. Something I did not fully appreciate until I got my Saturn, which really hangs on to a lot of resin.

I love your content but your camera setup is driving me nuts. It's great seeing your wall artwork but you and your content is essentially SD in an HD frame. Please try moving the camera in to frame you so we can better see what you're up to! :)

The unboxing part looks like one of those old 1920s film with it's motion!

Hey thanks for the review! This one has been on my WANT LIST for quite some time now! How do you feel this compares up against the IBEE?

what is you absolute favorite brand of sla printers? i think i've heard you talking about the prhozens and the epax printers.. but cant recall which brand if your favorite.. i'm planning on buying a midize printer to join my Saturn, and recently in prime day the anycubic mono X was in $530... but i tie myself to a pole and kept me away from that buy button cause i know i can do better if i wait a few months... perhaps this epax E10 5k would bt the one?... not use if i want to go as high as the phrozen 8k just yet... but if you recommend that one.. i will get that one... i preffer to invest a bit more in having a larger prnter and making sure i can print larger stuff f i needed.. i have the saturn now for minis when i need them.

My concern with plastic structural parts, it's plastic fatigue failures.

Thanks Greg. I saw a post that said the E10 10.1 screen upgrade kit would be equal to the cost difference between the E10 8.9 and the E10 10.1 with the bigger screen installed. Do you have any information about this, or when EPAX contacts you with pricing, can you ask about the upgrade?

Just bought an E10. Had I known how bad their customer service was I would have went with the phenom. The lcd screen was used and scratched to hell. They tried to tell me it was fine because they tested it. I seriously doubt they tested it, the lines on my test print tells me they didn’t.

Can you post an update in about 4-6 months on how that plastic holds up? Plastics usually don't do too well with resin and that build plate is going to be spending a lot of time covered in resin.
