for anyone having trouble!! i had an issue where i downloaded the things but they wouldn't show up when i entered the game. It said the pack was still downloading but it never did. So all you have to do is check where you put the files, cause it has to be in the correct folder, otherwise it won't work

Just gonna leave this here in case it helps someone: this does work, however I ran into a few issues during the process. I was able to find fixes for them after several hours of trial and error. The first issue I encountered was not being able to find the setup file (I’m on windows btw). I ended up finding it however it was outside of the dlc unlocker folder and the date was set at 2023 for some reason? I was able to continue the process until I realized that my sims 4 game folder was not under the ea games folder. Instead it was under this pc>windows>program files x86>origin games>the sims 4. From there I was able to drop it in and it finally worked! Hope this helps someone :)!

for MAC users: Please open the unlocker folder and click addfakeentitlements command, that will take you to terminal! that is your “setup” button

If you are having trouble now four months later it's because the number for the sims is no longer 16 4:19 in the DLC Unlocker, make sure to read what number is listed for the sims 4. Right now it is 21.

The only issue I ran into is when I’m downloading some of the stuff packs, I’ll load my game and my sims won’t do the task I want them to do. But the game will start working when I remove those packs. So far I’ve figure it’s SP 5(movie hangout) and Sp14 (romantic garden-i think). Not a big deal rlly but there’s mods that I wanted that require these packs😭 other than that it works smoothly. Thank you!

SOMEONE HELP!! i did every step and everything is fine, but when i loaded it in it said something like "not all packs have finished downloading, you will get a notification when installed", but i havent got one at all and its acting like the base game with no changes, saying i have no packs. i went back to online to see if it changed anything but no! whats going on?
