Dear Danny Elfman:
Thank you for this. And also for existing.
-- a next-generation Boingo fan who was too young to see the band live.

You can see how tickled he is hearing the audience sing along. He made sooo many people happy doing this. Long live the Pumpkin King!

People laugh off Boingo as being a product of the 80s, or tgat weird band that nerds like who did the theme to Weird Science, but Danny Elfman is one of the best vocalists of all time in my estimation.

I am so glad I found this. I was at their final Halloween show in 1995 and bought the shirt. I wore that shirt on this night with my wife and daughter. I said I saw him perform this song for the final time, TWICE, 20 years apart to the day. Well, alas it continues... Taking my daughter again this year... I can't believe it's been 28 years since that final show...

Good lord, I'm weeping man. He looked so unbelievably happy, and when they were done and they took a bow he just freaked out. I love this man.

It looked like Danny was having so much fun. Just like he did in the 80's and 90's shows. I really miss Oingo Boingo, my favorite live band.

My wife and I were there.... It was amazing and very unexpected. 20 prior my mom and dad went to Oingo Boingo's farewell concert, it was only right for me to be there for his first Oingo Boingo performance since.

I don't have words to articulate how happy this makes me... Danny is bloody brilliant!

are there any boingophiles out there that saw them live who would disagree with the FACT that danny and the boys were not only better live unlike most bands but that they were arguably the greatest live band ever?

I saw this live and it will forever be one of the best experiences of my life.

The best. I was lucky enough to see 5 of their concerts in the 80's and 90's. I love you Danny.

What a brilliant career and he's not done yet. Oingo Boingo was great, he should be very proud.

I was there to witness this and when he said the line that he had sworn he would never do this ever again that was when it hit. I honestly teared up a bit when he started this. I never thought I would ever get to see this as I was only a kid when they split. Plus my fiance' got to witness this with me and I think Danny just turned her into a fan because she wanted to learn more about them, asking me on our way home after the event.

Whoever was on marimba (if anyone) should have started up the "Just Another Day" opening riff and FORCED Elfman to keep performing Boingo songs ALL NIGHT.

I can't believe I took two and a half years to discover this! WOW! Just WOW!!!

That said, it's also a little sad to see that number performed without the rage and power of his youth.

Hats off to them for not caring though. And thanks for reminding us that even if we're no longer 20, even if we can't mesmerize people with our vitality and power, we can still proudly stand up in tribute to what we all once were together and and share the commonality of this masterpiece with those who remember. God Bless you Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo members and crew! Thank you!

It's cool that he did this. But, it's just not the same without John Avila's keytar bassline.
