Great video, Bruce. Very informative. I would like to suggest that you use the router on the end grain first then long grain side. I realize you are putting a small round over on that board so the chances are slim but end grain is prone to chip at the corners so if you rout edge grain first, the long grain side will allow you to clean up any chipping.

I have a walnut end grain cutting board that needs refinishing. I've put mineral oil on this thing religiously every 6 months for the last ten years. A few years back I tried to refinish it by sanding it but there's so much oil in the board that it gums up the random orbit sander pads in about 10 seconds. How do I tackle this? I don't have a drum sander like you nor do I know anyone who has one that I could get access to.
