Can we appreciate that he teaches us biology without it being boring?

This is so educational!! I never realized how extremely affected periods can be by just plain stress

Remember girls, missing a period doesn't automatically mean you're pregnant. It can be stress OR sudden weight loss/gain OR too much exercise.

The moment of brain facing off against stress in front of the button.... beautiful. Poignant. Award worthy

The thing I like the most about this is how funny yet oddly respectful it is, it's not overly exaggerated but not to boring and repetitive

It’s genuinely refreshing to see an man acknowledge and teach/learn about periods.

Showing women are human too.

The way he puts on a wig and seamlessly changes characters. I couldn’t even tell the girl character was him at first. His costume game has really stepped up.

How refreshing to find a cool guy who doesn't act disgusted by a woman's period. He's funny and respectful too. 😊

I’m impressed and proud that he wasn’t too awkward to make this because periods are a natural thing and we shouldn’t be ashamed or weirded out by them

This is pretty funny but also very educational, imagine an entire class clapping with no awkward pause

I grew up in a house full of women, and already knew about this from my mother. There was truly no shame in my household when it came to these topics. It was a very comfortable place for a girl to grow up, in that aspect.

When I was a freshman in highschool (which wasn't that long ago) I got my period out of the blue after not having it for 3 months. I bled through my pants a little bit, but it was fortunately barely visible since I wore black pants that day. Unlike some schools, mine had a school-wide rule about taking students' bathroom needs seriously, and letting them go when they need to go. So I didn't expect him to have a problem after telling him what happened.
My male biology teacher *(the irony+it was none of his business)* preceeded to lecture me, asking why I don't have a period tracking calendar, and that I should always know when I'm going to get my period and use the bathroom before it happens. Young women shouldn't be bleeding all over the place, he claimed.
First of all, I wasn't a "young woman", I was 13. And I was a smartass, just like my mom. So instead of humoring him with an actual response calling out his BS, I just said "Why don't you keep a fart tracking calendar? You should always know when you're going to fart and use the bathroom before it happens. Young men shouldn't be farting all over the place." and left to go to the bathroom. Mind you, this was a passive aggressive reference to earlier that week, when he passed gas (loudly) while we were taking a test. Everyone heard it, and he tried to joke about it, but he was obviously embarrassed at the time. I'm surprised I didn't get sent to the principal's office for that one, but I guess it would've been awkward considering I was still "bleeding everywhere".

Oh, but that wasn't all. He got very gassy- I mean pissy at me after that comment, so I took the liberty of printing out a 28-page medical guide on menstruation irregularities at the library, and put it on his desk on monday, highlighting the important parts with a bright red highlighter :) I also didn't think the title "Menstrual irregularities" stuck out enough, so I crossed that out and replaced it with "The biology teacher doesn't know how periods work. Yikes!"

He avoided talking to me after that.

Teaching science about our bodies is a very important thing to teach everyone, young and old. Thank you.

I can't decide who has the worst job of these guys. Brian the boss, James the brain cell, the t cell, the body cell or frank the blood cell. They all got it pretty rough

I actually had no idea that stress could make my period late. 🙃 I learned something today and I've been getting my period since I was 10. No one ever talked about it though. It was just "put on a pad" and "you're just a heavy bleeder". Come to find out I actually have endometriosis and there's a shit ton of info that goes along with proper period self-care. I had to learn that as an adult. Which made getting my period a traumatic and embarrassing time at school. From being embarrassed to get pads at the nurse's office to multiple large scale leaks at school. Shit was wack! I'm glad now it seems to be more talked about. I work in a school now and a few of the teachers even keep period products on hand for the students, and they never make it awkward for them. It's just a normal thing. ♡
