Aaron you seem to have the knack for answering the questions that I need answers for 👍 and you always explain things in a very easy to follow way. I currently have a standard shopping campaign that is performing well, and although I’d like to scale it without hurting ROAS I’m going to stay away from PMAX, for a while at least, and use the information from your other videos to help optimise my SSC's.

Small question (Im new advertiser) - Performance Max only shows 5 pillar - "Gmail, YT, Search, Display, Discover" in its Assets but "NOT shopping". Why so ? Because when we manually select the Objective - "Shopping" is different than a "Display" or a "Discover". So if Smart Shopping updates to Performance Max, then PM should include "Shopping" in its Assets.

The issue with max perf and standard in the same account, is that the max perf will outperform the standard shopping. I’ve seen this in my client’s accounts many times.

To clarify: When you want to focus on selling ''well-performing products' in a shopping/search campaign, do you exclude them from your Pmax or not?

For testing a lot of unrelated products from seperate niches in a account with a lot of data. Would you recommend a manual cpc shopping campaign with enhanced cpc? Or would you recommend going with a maximize clicks testing campaign? I currently have to restructure because I used smart shopping campaigns to batch test large amounts of products. Performance max seems to take to much time to quickly test/launch new products

What do you think to cloning a top performing product changing the product ID, optimise title and description of the clone and serve it in Performance max as well as keeping the original in the standard shopping campaign ?

Aaron I have a general store. I built out the shopping campaigns by brand. Now I am working on creating the performance max campaign and am confused on the asset part. I wand to set up the campaign All products and then segment out by brand, product type, id. When I get to the asset area to I just add assets for all my brands or is there away to create different asset groups by brand? Thank you for your patience. I am a newbie and changes like this just throw me off!

Hi Aaron, just came across you today. For PMAX is it possible to just have it run on shopping and not other networks like search ? I have this brand since 2019 that does very well in shopping and very poorly on search terms and other types.
I had it on smart shopping and now the performance has tanked cause I am yet to upgrade. How would you approach this ?
