Friends, today let's make Tomato Puree Recipe at home, this would be perfect for using in soups, gravies, curries, pasta, pizzas etc!


Ingredients
Hybrid Tomatoes : Local Tomatoes - 2:1 (around 1.8kg)
Beetroot - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 3 tbsp
Salt - 2 tsp
Citric acid - 1 tsp

I am making this from last more than 10 years using only local tomatoes when it is very economical .Simply crush all the tomatoes in mixer and boil till it reduces to half and freeze them it can be stored for full year with no preservatives.season is coming for cheap and best tomatoes I start to use this puree in july when tomatoes are very expensive. And it tastes 100 percent natural 😍

Wow! this is good. I always make tomato puree by washing tomatoes and grinding and freeze them in cubes, I store it in zip lock in freezer and use frozen cubes directly in masala while cooking curries.

Thanks a lot. Actually Vinegar was not available in this lock down, but you told about other option i.e. citric acid .

I thought this was a great recipe if you're making a big batch. I only needed enough for 2 tbsp lol so I left the "scum". I seasoned it with a pinch of garlic salt and onion powder to make lasagne. It was delicious by itself, thank you!
