I think people are forgetting that Kurt hates fish. And a lot of Thai and Asian dishes are heavily fish based - using fish sauce in so many dishes. I get why it’s not his thing

My favorites: Thai, Mexican, Japanese, Peruvian, Italian, Taiwanese, Korean, Chinese, French, Vietnamese.

Coincidentally 4 of those are UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity cuisines.

I also like aspects of Spanish, Argentine, Indian, Scandinavian, Greek, Turkish, Hungarian, Russian, Polish, Moroccan, Ethiopian, American/British cuisines, but its more specific dishes than overall cuisine.

Kurt likes beef, this is why he doesn't like south East Asian food. If you want good beef in SEA you gotta eat at the higher end restaurants. They import. Mid and cheap beef is no good as local beef is no good.

I understand what Kurt is saying.
The quality of meat in South Africa is some of the best in the world.
When I was there even the Mcdonalds and KFC tasted amazing, and had some of the nicest fish and chips ive ever had in a random vineyard in the middle of nowhere.
