Kurt Caz loses his temper

You can talk yourself out of pretty much any situation, but sometimes we all lose our temper and want to slap somebody.

Some people in the world are just horrible, annoying, moronic, idiotic, pathetic, you name it, they exist. You will come across a lot of them if you travel a lot.

You do not need to be polite to rude people, scammers, or anybody trying to push their agenda on you.

This is definitely a must when you are in a foreign country. You must be confident and stand your ground without being too rude. Otherwise, they will take advantage of you and milk you of money.

That is true, I’m Guatemalan and when I am visiting a rural area people harass you to buy dumb sht at an expensive price.. you have to say No in a very serious manner so they leave you alone in an instant, not in an aggressive manner but a very firm no

When you're in a strange and potentially
dangerous place, attitude is everything. Be confident but not cocky. Be assertive but not aggressive. Be brave but not reckless. Handle yourself in a way that shows respect without appearing to be weak.

I'm from Argentina and this is true, here the slogan is "Take advantage of the other"
In the street, in sports, in jobs, everywhere
I imagine that is similar in the rest of south america

As I have gotten older I am more mellow. I live in the Philippines, sometimes it is frustrating. Philipinos are the friendliest people in the world, so I have to be a good embasador for Americans..

In Argentina for 30 trips, 18 months, not one person bothered me or pressured me.
Much classier, respectful culture. DR, Colombia can be infuriating, men begging for money.

I lived in Sri Lanka for a year. This hits close to home

Living /traveling internationally teaches you how to be an culo-hole very fast - you have to be super assertive in Latin America and call their BS before they get a chance to set it up - he's right you don't need to be polite and being polite as a white tourist in Latin America will get you in more trouble and rip-offs then if you were cold and direct. Respect and polite are different..

BTW it really helps not to go totally alone ! I found it’s better to travel with a few guys ! When you’re by yourself it’s more tempting to be a target

As someone who was born and raised in Latin America, this is very true. Be careful. Do not let ppl pursue you into buying or doing shit that you don’t want to do. Folks will act friendly one moment, the next they are your enemy.
