The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Is A Game Changing Retro Modern All-Electric CUV

The long range electric SUV segment is about to be shock up with the introduction of the 2022 #HyundaiIoniq5. I absolutely l love the styling, both exterior and interior… ESPECIALLY the interior. Hyundai did a really cool thing here by doing their own take on the spartan interior of the Teslas, but kept the important switchgear that car folk actually want (i.e. buttons & knobs.) They hit the Goldilocks zone with this one, imo.

The 4 dots on the steering wheel is actually an easter egg. 4 dots in morse code translate to the English letter “H”. So it’s Hyundai’s logo in morse code. Pretty cool IMO

I remember riding Hyundai Pony I(hyundai's first mass produced hit model), which Ionic 5 inspired from. That was about 35 years ago when Hyundai was not existed in global market.

DAMN this looks nice. I love the design. Probably the first non-Tesla I would ever consider buying. That said, I won't be getting an electric until they start pushing 400 miles in the mainstream. I'm Canadian and I live out in the boonies, so until I see that kind of range I just can't use a full electric as my only vehicle year round.

I’m impressed! So glad that there will be multiple EV options when I’m ready to upgrade in 1-2 years. This would definitely be at the top of my list if I was shopping right now. Amazing potential charge times, relatively quick for a non performance EV, and more than enough range for my needs. Plus it looks really cool without looking wacky.

Other reviewers have praised the transmission stalk for being intuitive and its location. I agree, why take up space in the center floor area? Love Redline Reviews though, Sofyan covers details that most don't.
