I think it'd be pretty embarrassing for us, people 74.000 years ahead of the people of Indonesia at the time of it's eruption, to get wiped out the same way, use our budget for something useful that will save us from disasters, not making new military weapons that will only bring that disaster closer.

Yellowstone is capable of an 8 on the VEI. That's actually off of the scale shown here. During the Lava Creek B eruption 630, 000 years ago, it dropped 40 feet of ash at Arches National Park, which is over 400 miles away.

I'm just gonna throw this out here. Eyjafjallajökull erupted in 2010 and it spewed so much ash that European airspace had to be shut down and Icelandair had to move their company to Scotland to avoid damage to the planes. And Eyjafjallajökull is not the biggest volcano under a glacier so it would only take one big eruption to cause the earth to cool and crops to fail like how the laki eruption in 1783 caused crops to fail leading to the French Revolution a few years later

Honestly wish I could've seen this video when I was younger. In 3rd grade we were taking a reading test and one of the stories was abt super volcanoes and it scared me for abt 2 years bc of how detailed and graphic it was. Im fine now, but little me was scared to death
