Am I wrong in thinking that sudden inclusions of water into magma chambers causes sudden and highly explosive eruptions?

Ya there no way ethics could end badly later on BOOM!

Am scared because if they do this it might trigger a eruption and that’s not good

oh yes, pour water into magma and then make water flash into steam, causing a phreatic eruption
what a good idea!
(this literally occured before, wtf are they even thinking
like hunga tonga, seawater entered its magma chamber after an explosion causing the middle part of the island to blow up)

Yeah right the moment they disrupt the temperature wouldn’t it be like a Molotov cocktail being thrown into a well

Yes and should be sent to Italy 🇮🇹 Government to its Campri Fergri SuperVolcano too.

There is already how much water in the ground, I'm sure this would never work.

Water already going in there.i doubt have enough water to cool it down.they going to pull the plug on the lake there?can see harnising for power but cooling it down to prevent an explotion i can only imagine questions they have about if dangerous or even possible

Stop bothering about Yellowstone already. Most of the magma in the chamber is solidified, and historically it now produces lava flows or moderate eruptions every 70 000 years. There won't be any VEI 8 eruption in a million years.
